In addition, a driver from Skopje was operating a motorcycle without a driver’s license, and the motorcycle also lacked valid registration.
Over the same period, two individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A driver from Makedonska Kamenica was operating a moped and, during a traffic control, was found to have 1.52‰ alcohol in the blood, while a driver from Skopje was operating a freight motor vehicle with 2.20‰ alcohol in the blood.
After the cases are fully documented, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the individuals.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs appeals to all road users to consistently respect traffic laws and regulations and not to operate vehicles without a driver’s license, while under a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol. Only through responsible behavior and respect for the law can we jointly contribute to greater road safety.
