On 11 July 2026, at 18:46, A.Č. (38) from the village of Žerovjane contacted the Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs (SIA Tetovo) requesting assistance for himself and two other individuals, N.M. from the village of Slatino and B.A. from the village of Glogji.
The caller reported that they had driven to the location known as "Tri Vodi" in the area of the village of Tearce and then continued on foot into the Šar Mountains, where they became stranded. During the hike, A.Č. suddenly experienced a deterioration in his health, suffering chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Immediately after the report was received, the Police Department in Tearce and the Territorial Firefighting Unit based in the village of Lešok were notified. N.M. and B.A. managed to help A.Č. descend to the location known as "Bačilo," where they were met by the rescue team from the Territorial Firefighting Unit.
After locating the group, the rescuers and the three individuals continued on foot to their vehicle. At 20:40, at the location "Tri Vodi," they were met by police officers from the Tearce Police Department. The group was safely escorted to the regional road near the village of Lešok, where an Emergency Medical Service team from Tetovo arrived. At 00:55 on 12 July 2026, A.Č. was transported by ambulance to the Tetovo Clinical Hospital to receive medical treatment.
