On 08/09.05.2026 in Skopje, at several locations, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived O.I. (31), M.M. (31), A.R. (27), M.B. (40), J.Gj. (32), D.H. (19) and a 15-year-old minor, all from Skopje, A.D. (35) from the village of Saraj, and A.D. (36) from the Republic of Slovenia of their liberty after white powder substance, white solid substance, and marijuana were found and seized from them. Following full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 08.05.2026 at 11:05 at the Blato Border Crossing, at the entrance to the country, police officers arrested F.M. (42) from the Republic of Albania after checks established that he was subject to an international warrant and recorded with an arrest measure requested by Interpol – Italy for several criminal offences. The person was handed over to police officers from the Debar Police Station for further proceedings.
SVR Bitola filed criminal charges against A.M. (30) from Prilep on suspicion of committing the criminal offence “obstructing an official person in performing security duties.” On 05.04.2026, following a traffic accident in which he had participated under the influence of alcohol, the suspect behaved aggressively and attempted to take the service pistol of a police officer who was carrying out official duties.
The Kočani Police Department filed criminal charges against Ž.A. (50) from Kočani for the criminal offence “damage and unauthorized access to a computer system.” On 27.12.2025, the suspect stole a wallet containing money and personal documents and later attempted two unsuccessful ATM transactions with the victim’s payment card, as well as one successful transaction at a gas station. The victim suffered total material damage amounting to 36,000 denars.
On 08.05.2026 between 20:30 and 22:35, acting on a court order issued by the Basic Court Ohrid, police officers from SVR Ohrid conducted a search at the home of T.P. (39) from Ohrid. Marijuana and a grinder with marijuana residue were found and seized. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
The Prilep Police Department filed a report against a high school student from Prilep on suspicion of committing the criminal offence “computer forgery.” By falsely presenting himself as an English teacher from an elementary school in Vinica, the suspect created a profile and contacted an employee at the Ministry of Education and Science. She informed him that communication with teachers should not take place through social networks and created an official ministry email account for him, providing him with e-diary administrator passwords from her own user account and instructing him to coordinate all teachers. In this way, the suspect gained access to the data of all teachers nationwide and assisted them in managing the electronic diary system. Between 2022 and November 2025, after a former acting director informed him that a teacher had reported someone deleting data from the electronic diary, the suspect deleted all fake social media profiles and accounts, while the official ministry email account was also later deleted.
On 09.05.2026 at 01:34 in Bitola, police officers from SVR Bitola deprived J.T. from Bitola of his liberty. He was caught at a lot on the road toward the village of Dihovo while stealing fuel from a cargo vehicle. After full documentation of the incident, appropriate charges will follow.
On 08.05.2026 at 19:50 in Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo arrested two 16-year-old minors from the village of Rogle after marijuana was found and seized from them. A public prosecutor was informed and official interviews were conducted in the presence of a parent. Appropriate proceedings will follow after the case is fully documented.
SVR Veles filed criminal charges against Lj.T. (67) from Negotino for the criminal offence “inciting hatred, discord or intolerance on national, racial, religious or other discriminatory grounds.” On 26.02.2026, the suspect filmed another individual with a mobile phone and, after being warned to stop recording, insulted the person based on ethnic affiliation.
On 08.05.2026 at 09:15 in SVR Veles, a 42-year-old man from Veles reported that he had been defrauded of 50,000 denars. According to the report, he contacted V.B. (31) from Skopje through a social network and agreed that V.B. would arrange his yard, paying part of the agreed amount in advance. Afterwards, V.B. repeatedly postponed the start of the work with various excuses and eventually stopped responding to messages and calls. Measures are being undertaken to clarify the case.
On 08.05.2026 at 10:25, the Delčevo Police Department received a report that on the embankment of the Bregalnica River in Delčevo, N.A. (76), F.S. (80) and B.P. (80), all from Delčevo, were shooting at a wooden target with two 4.5 mm air rifles owned by the Pensioners’ Association of Delčevo, of which they were members. According to the report and official interviews, they had been preparing for a pensioners’ sports competition scheduled to take place in Kočani at the end of May. The target, air rifles and ammunition were seized, and appropriate charges will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 08.05.2026 at 12:40 in SVR Skopje, N.J. (71) from Skopje reported that around 11:00 a person stole his wallet containing money and personal documents from his home in the municipality of Aerodrom Municipality after he had previously allowed the person into his home to perform work-related activities. Measures are being taken to solve the case.
On 08.05.2026 at 13:30 in SVR Skopje, S.K. (46) from Skopje reported that between 10:15 and 11:20 at the Butel City Cemetery, a handbag containing money was stolen from her unlocked passenger vehicle. The handbag was later found without the wallet. A crime scene investigation was carried out and measures are being taken to solve the case.
On 08.05.2026 at 11:50, it was reported to SVR Skopje that near the entrance to the cemetery in Gjorče Petrov, following a prior argument, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical fight between Z.K. (36) and D.Z. (55), both from Skopje, during which a hard object was used. Appropriate measures will follow after the case is fully documented.
SVR Skopje also received a report that on 07.05.2026 at 07:50, in the hallway of a residential building in the municipality of Gazi Baba, public order and peace were disturbed following a dispute over neighbourly relations, resulting in a physical altercation between A.G. (32) and J.M. (53), both from Skopje. Appropriate proceedings will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 08.05.2026 at 20:20 in SVR Skopje, S.S. (47) from Skopje reported that around 18:40 in the municipality of Aerodrom, his 13-year-old son was physically attacked by another minor whom he knew. Appropriate measures will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 08.05.2026 at 23:20 in SVR Skopje, S.J. (32) from Skopje reported that around 22:15 in the municipality of Centar Municipality he was physically assaulted by another person. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
