On 01.01.2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the SVR Skopje deprived of their liberty B.A. (29), S.K. (29), S.C. (30), all from Skopje, as well as D.T. (40) from the village of Trebino, Municipality of Makedonski Brod and A.B. (50) from Italy because powdery substance and marijuana were found and seized from them. After fully documenting the cases, appropriate reports will follow.
On 01.01.2026 at around 18:00, the OVR Negotino received a report that in the area of the village of Dolni Disan, at a place called "Vasileva Cheshma", L.K. (26) from the village of Dolni Disan, Negotino, driving a "Ferguson" tractor, lost control and went off the road. The driver suffered serious injuries in the accident, which were confirmed at the Kavadarci General Hospital. An inspection team from the Negotino Internal Affairs Department conducted an inspection.
The Tetovo Internal Affairs Department filed criminal charges against Sh.F. (54) from Tetovo, M.F. (29) from the village of Dolno Kolicani, Studenicani Municipality, I.A. (54) from the village of Shemshevo, Jegunovce Municipality and Z.Z. (48) from Tetovo due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing a criminal offense of "fraud". The first and second defendants, by falsely presenting facts, deceived a woman in December 2024 by promising to mediate in her purchase of a house in Tetovo, owned by their relatives for the amount of 135,000 euros. She paid them 8,600 euros on two occasions, and in March 2025, after realizing that the house was owned by another person, she tried to report the case to the police, but was deterred from doing so by the third defendant. After this, the third person reported the entire incident to the fourth person and after a certain period of time they returned 5,100 euros to her, and kept the rest for themselves and blocked her on social networks, preventing her from contacting them.
On 01.01.2026 at around 22:05, it was reported to the Berovo Police Department that on the regional road Berovo-Delchevo, near the village of Smojmirovo, a passenger vehicle "Kia" with Berovo license plates, driven by Z.K. (51) from Berovo, had run off the road. The driver sustained serious injuries in the accident, which were confirmed at the Stip Clinical Hospital. An inspection team from the Berovo Police Department conducted an inspection.
The Department for Cross-Border Crime, Migration, Foreigners and Readmission Gevgelija filed a criminal complaint against E.V. (38) from Albania, with temporary residence in Greece, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of having committed the crime of "forgery of a document". On 30.12.2025 at the Star Dojran Border Crossing, upon exit from the country, the defendant presented a forged Albanian driving license for inspection.
The Department for Cross-Border Crime, Migration, Foreigners and Readmission Kumanovo filed a criminal complaint against E.M. (37) from Shtip due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of having committed the crime of "forgery of a document". On 01.12.2025 at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entry into the country, the defendant presented a forged German driving license for inspection.
On 01.01.2026 at 00:58 in the SVR Skopje, the "Mother Teresa" Clinic Complex reported that a two-year-old child from Skopje was brought to them in a very serious condition and with a foreign object in his head. Police officers went to the scene and conducted an official interview with the mother G.D. (21), who explained that on 31.12.2025 before midnight she went out in front of the yard of the house in the Gazi Baba area with the child and while watching fireworks she heard a sound, after which she noticed blood from the child's head. An official interview was also conducted at the police station with the child's father M.A. (26). At 01:58 on 02.01.2026 the child died, and a doctor declared him dead. By order of the public prosecutor, the child's body was submitted for autopsy and measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 01.01.2026 at 22:40, police officers from the SVR Kumanovo, deprived of liberty U.Z. (33) from Kumanovo, acting on a previous report from G.Sh. (20) from the village of Vishtica, Lipkovo region, that at around 21:30 on ul. "Goce Delchev" in Kumanovo, he used physical force to take away her purse containing money, a bank card and other items. He was detained at the police station and after fully documenting the case, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On 01.01.2026 at 16:20 at the SVR Tetovo, a 39-year-old woman from Tetovo reported that she had been defrauded of the amount of 280 euros by A.K. from Serbia. According to the report, the person contacted her on a mobile application and told her that he wanted to donate a certain amount of money to help her child, who is visiting a speech therapist, but she had to send him 280 euros as a guarantee via a fast money transfer beforehand. According to the report, after she did so, the person asked for more money, after which she realized that she had been deceived. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 01.01.2026 at 17:40 at the Chair Police Station, police officers from the SVR Skopje conducted an official interview with G.S. (32) from Skopje, acting on a previous report that on 31.12.2025 at around 23:00 in the family home, he physically attacked his 29-year-old wife. On 01.01.2026 at 14:25 in the village of Buković, municipality of Saraj, police officers from the SVR Skopje deprived of liberty I.I. (27) from the village of Raović, Skopje region. During an inspection of a passenger vehicle "Volkswagen Golf" with Skopje license plates, which he was driving, firewood was found and confiscated for which he did not possess appropriate documentation. On 01.01.2026 at 16:49 in the SVR Skopje, the "Mother Teresa" Clinic Complex reported that B.S. (44) from the village of Shemshevo, Tetovo region, was brought to them with an injury. According to the report, B.S. - an employee in the army, sustained the injury while performing work tasks in the Idrizovo Prison.
