On 26/27 September 2026, at various locations in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector (SVR Skopje) arrested I.B. (40) and a 17-year-old, both from Skopje, as well as Sh.K. (23) from the village of Aračinovo, Skopje region, and N.H. (32) from Veles, after marijuana and a white powdery substance were found in their possession and confiscated. Following the complete documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
On 26 September 2026 at 22:35, police officers from the Department for Illicit Trade in Drugs and Weapons and the “Task Force” mobile team at the Kumanovo Internal Affairs Sector arrested P.D. (18) from the village of Dolno Kojnare, Kumanovo. During a search of him, a white, lumpy substance was found. On 26 September 2026 at 10:30, at Skopje International Airport Border Crossing, police officers arrested M.D.F.S. (35) from France because, during border control and checks of operational records, it was established that he was subject to an “APSI” arrest measure at the request of SVR Skopje. The person was handed over to a police station for further proceedings.
The Struga External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against A.S. (67) and D.S. (42), both from Veles, on reasonable grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of “Fraud” under Article 247 of the Criminal Code. On 6 August 2026 in Struga, the suspects deceived an 88-year-old man and took 300,000 denars from him. They asked him to bring them the money so that he could meet the wife of one of them, who was supposedly from a foreign country, and promised to reward him in return. He brought the money and handed it over to them, while they gave him a bag as a guarantee, telling him that there was approximately 10,000 euros inside. The suspects left, and when they did not return after half an hour, the victim went home. When he opened the bag, he saw that there was no money inside and realized that he had been defrauded.
On 27 September 2026 at 02:42, a report was received by SVR Skopje that, sometime between 15:00 on 26 September 2026 and the time of the report, force had been used to break into a vehicle inspection station on Aleksandar Urdarevski Street, in the Čair area, and that a video-surveillance receiver had been taken from the manager’s office. Police officers went to the scene and established that force had also been used to break into a branch of a bank, as well as an office of the Ministry of Interior, both located within the same building, but nothing had been stolen from them. An inspection of the scene was carried out and measures are being taken to clear up the case.
On 26 September 2026 at approximately 15:40, in the area of Šuto Orizari, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested A.D. (44) from Skopje. He had previously physically assaulted his 42-year-old wife, and after she came to the Šuto Orizari Police Department to report the incident, he came there after her, behaved aggressively toward police officers, attacked her again, and attempted to flee, but was caught and arrested. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal charge will be filed against him.

(51) from Negotino, acting on a previous report that he had physically assaulted his 45-year-old wife at their home. On 26 September 2026 at 21:30 in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested Gj.B. (31) from Skopje on suspicion that he had stolen a children’s quad bike in the area of Gazi Baba in Skopje. The stolen item was found and returned to its owner, and following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On 26 September 2026 at 21:45, on a local road in the village of Gorno Palčište, police officers from the Kamenjane Police Department detained M.I. (23) from Tetovo. During a search of a BMW passenger vehicle in which he was a passenger, marijuana and a grinder were found in his possession and confiscated. Today (27 September 2026) at 03:00, in the area of Centar in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje detained M.E. (19), G.S. (19), I.R. (20), A.M. (20), L.Ѓ. (19), A.A. (19), V.G. (19) and Ž.A. (20), as well as six 17-year-olds, all from Skopje, because they disturbed the public order and peace by engaging in a physical altercation with one another. On 26 September 2026 at 08:41, SVR Skopje received a report from the public healthcare institution “St. Naum Ohridski” in Skopje that T.N. (60) from the village of Marino, Skopje region, had been brought to the institution with injuries. According to the report, he sustained the injury while performing work duties at the Public Utility Company Vodovod – Ilinden. A labor inspector was informed about the incident.
On 26 September 2026 at 16:00, the Karpoš Police Station received a report that a human body had been found in a canal near the fence of a public healthcare institution in Bardovci. An investigative team from SVR Skopje conducted an inspection of the scene, and the body was recovered and sent for an autopsy.
Today (27 September 2026) at 00:30, SVR Skopje received a report from a 34-year-old woman from Skopje stating that she had been physically assaulted in Skopje on 25 and 26 September 2026 by her former partner, I.M. from Skopje. According to her report, she had also been physically abused by him in the past. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
