On 21 May 2026 at 23:00, it was reported to the SVR Skopje that on the Skopje ring road, between the Vizbegovo overpass and the Mirkovci interchange, B.B. (76) from Kosovo, while driving a MAN tractor-trailer with Kosovo license plates, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the metal barrier into the opposite lane of the highway, and collided with a BMW passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by R.V. (51) from Skopje. As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in both vehicles, completely burning the passenger vehicle and the truck cabin. The fire was extinguished by a team from the Skopje Fire Protection Brigade.

As a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, driver R.V. and the passengers in his vehicle, A.V. (20), P.M. (20), and M.Ѓ. (20), all from Skopje, died at the scene. A doctor from Emergency Medical Services confirmed the deaths, and by order of a public prosecutor, the bodies were sent for autopsy. Also, by order of a public prosecutor, driver B.B. was deprived of liberty and detained at a police station. After the case is fully clarified and documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed.

During the on-site investigation, from 23:10 to 05:00, traffic was redirected from the Tetovo–Veles route at the Prishtina interchange toward the village of Vizbegovo, and from the Veles–Tetovo route at the Mirkovci interchange. At 05:00, traffic was normalized.


SVR Kumanovo filed criminal charges against E.K. (46) from the Republic of Greece due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors.” On 16 August 2025, at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entering the country, during an inspection of the suspect and the passenger vehicle he was driving, a jar containing hashish oil was found and confiscated.


On 22 May 2026, in the Karpoš area of Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived N.A. (37) from India of liberty after marijuana was found and confiscated from him. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will follow.


The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Berovo filed criminal charges against N.D. (63) from the village of Crnik, Berovo region, due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering safety with a dangerous weapon during a fight or argument,” and against M.D. (36) from the same village due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “violence against a child.” On 13 May 2026, following a prior argument, a physical altercation occurred in which the first suspect injured B.D. with a wooden object, while the second suspect physically assaulted a minor and caused injuries.


On 21 May 2026 at 12:05, it was reported to the Sveti Nikole Police Department that on the road toward the village of Knežje, Sveti Nikole region, D.M. (43) from Sveti Nikole, while riding a moped with Sveti Nikole registration plates, went off the roadway. In the accident, the rider sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Clinical Hospital in Štip. An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from SVR Štip.


The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Sveti Nikole filed criminal charges against T.Z. (58) from Sveti Nikole due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “threatening security.” In the family home in Sveti Nikole, the suspect physically assaulted his son.


On 21 May 2026 at 09:40, the Idrizovo Correctional Facility reported to SVR Skopje that during a search of the prison at 07:30, 100 packets containing marijuana were found and confiscated. The drugs were taken by the Unit for Illegal Drug Trafficking at SVR Skopje for further proceedings. Measures are being taken to clarify the incident, after which an appropriate complaint will be filed.


On 21 May 2026 at 22:30, on “107” Street in Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo deprived B.Š. (26) from Tetovo of liberty. He is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “theft” under Article 235 of the Criminal Code, namely that he had previously stolen an electric scooter belonging to B.B. (41) from Tetovo. The stolen item was found and returned to the owner. B.Š. was detained at a police station and after full documentation of the case, an appropriate complaint will be filed against him.


On 21 May 2026 at 12:30, police officers from the Department for Illegal Trade in Drugs and Weapons at SVR Ohrid deprived Z.S. (19) from the village of Lešani, Municipality of Debrca, of liberty. During a search of his home and auxiliary premises, carried out under an order from the Basic Court in Ohrid, a cannabis plant was found and confiscated. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate complaint will follow.


On 21 May 2026 at 18:30, on “Tsar Samoil” Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Police Department deprived A.N. (32) from Prilep of liberty because marijuana was found and confiscated from him. After the incident is documented, an appropriate report will follow against him.


SVR Ohrid filed criminal charges against B.N. (36) from Ohrid due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors.” On 13 May 2026, police officers conducted an inspection of a passenger vehicle driven by the suspect, during which cocaine was found and confiscated.


On 21 May 2026 at 21:35, in the Gostivar Police Department, I.M. from Gostivar reported that his uncle A.I. (63) from the village of Forino, who worked as a shepherd at a sheepfold in the area of the village of Vrapčište, had left home. After measures were taken and the terrain searched, I.M., together with police officers from the Gostivar Police Department and a team from the Territorial Firefighting Unit Gostivar, found A.I. deceased at around 06:00 on 22 May 2026 in the area of the village of Vrapčište, near a road being constructed by private companies. A doctor confirmed the death, and a public prosecutor and an investigation team from the Gostivar Police Department conducted an inspection of the scene.


SVR Bitola filed criminal charges against Z.P. (49) from the village of Mogila, Municipality of Mogila, due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production.” During 2025, the suspect produced 1,200 kilograms of “Virginia” tobacco without first concluding a production and purchase agreement with a legal entity registered for the purchase and processing of tobacco.


On 21 May 2026 at 23:00 in Kumanovo, police officers from SVR Kumanovo deprived D.Z. (39) from Kumanovo of liberty because marijuana was found during a search of his person. He was detained at a police station and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will follow against him.


On 21 May 2026 at 18:00, it was reported to SVR Skopje that in the village of Gluvo, Municipality of Čučer Sandevo, following a prior argument, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between A.G. (21) from the village of Mirkovci and S.P. (79) from the village of Gluvo. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will follow.


SVR Bitola filed criminal charges against B.Ѓ. (40) from Demir Hisar due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “special cases of document forgery.” In March 2024, the suspect, acting as a trainee teacher at a secondary school in Demir Hisar, forged the signature of his mentor teacher at the same school on a “Report on mastering the basic professional competencies of the trainee teacher and readiness for taking the professional exam,” certified the document as authentic, and submitted it to the school secretary.


On 21 May 2026 at 19:45, D.M. (37) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that during a training session in the yard of an elementary school in the Dračevo area, his son felt an impact in his back, after which he noticed a projectile from a firearm near him. The minor was not injured. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.


On 22 May 2026 at 02:20, it was reported to SVR Skopje that in the Centar area, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between A.A. (19) and P.N. (20), both from Skopje. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will follow.


On 21 May 2026 at 10:00, a 52-year-old woman from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that on 20 May 2026 at around 14:55, in the Centar area of Skopje, a man was masturbating in front of her. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
