On 21/22 February 2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived A.B. (39), G.S. (40), and D.B. (18), all from Skopje, of liberty after powdery substances, marijuana, and a grinder were found and confiscated from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 21 February 2026 at 20:00, in the Drenovec neighborhood of Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo, acting on a court order, arrested M.A. (42) from the village of Poroj to serve a four-month prison sentence for the criminal offense of “violence” under Article 386 of the Criminal Code. He was transferred to the Tetovo Prison Correctional Facility to serve the sentence.
On 21 February 2026, SVR Strumica received a report that between 19:30 and 19:45 a fire broke out in a parked passenger vehicle “Land Rover” with Strumica registration plates, owned by N.M. (51) from Strumica. The fire spread and also affected another parked vehicle, a “Ford” with Strumica plates, owned by V.T. (53) from Strumica. The vehicles were parked in a parking area in front of a building on “Braka Miladinovi” Street in Strumica. The fire was extinguished by the Territorial Firefighting Unit of Strumica, and no injuries were reported. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Strumica was informed, and an on-site inspection was carried out by a fire inspector and a team from SVR Strumica. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 21 February 2026 at 23:15 in Skopje, in the Karposh area, police officers from the Intervention Police Unit at SVR Skopje deprived I.S. (18) from Skopje of liberty following a prior report that after two minors physically assaulted a 13-year-old, he attempted to hit the child with a passenger vehicle “Mercedes.” A public prosecutor has been notified. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case, after which an appropriate report will follow.
On 21 February 2026 at 22:20 in Skopje, in a shopping center in the Karposh area, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived M.N. (20) from Skopje of liberty for physically assaulting a security employee after previously attempting to steal a product from a retail store. On 21 February 2026 at 22:30 in SVR Skopje, a 32-year-old woman reported that she was physically assaulted by her partner A.D. (31) in the City Park in Skopje. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 21 February 2026 at 11:30 in SVR Skopje, B.J. (46) reported that she was physically assaulted by B.P. (44) in the Karposh area. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 21 February 2026 at 15:20 in SVR Skopje, it was reported that around 11:30 in the Gazi Baba area public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between B.D. (73) and D.D. (47), both from Skopje, during which a hard object was used. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.
On 21 February 2026 around 18:04, SVR Skopje received a report from Skopje Prison that inmate Sh.M. physically assaulted inmate M.M. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 21 February 2026 around 16:30, it was reported to OVR Struga that on “Strushki Kepenci” Street in Struga, a freight vehicle “Iveco” with Struga registration plates, driven by N.O. (57) from Struga, struck 70-year-old I.I. from the village of Mislodezhda, Struga region. After the accident, I.I. was transported to the Struga Medical Center for medical assistance, where she later died. An on-site inspection was conducted by a team from OVR Struga. At 21:40 police officers deprived N.O. of liberty, and after full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.
On 22 February 2026 at 04:37, SVR Skopje received a report that in the Aerodrom municipality a fire broke out in a passenger motor vehicle “Opel” with Skopje registration plates, owned by Gj.A. (48) from Skopje. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Protection Brigade, and no injuries were reported. A public prosecutor was informed, and an inspection was carried out by a team from SVR Skopje. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 22 February 2026 at 02:35, SVR Shtip received a report of a fire in a house on “Goce Delchev” Street in Kochani, where no persons were present at the time. The fire was extinguished by the Territorial Firefighting Unit Kochani. No injuries were reported. An inspection was carried out by a team from OVR Kochani.
On 22 February 2026 at 01:20 in Skopje, near the “Madjari” checkpoint, police officers from the Mobile Traffic Safety Unit deprived T.B. (28) from the village of Jurumleri, Skopje region, of liberty. He had previously been stopped while driving a passenger vehicle, after which he physically assaulted a police officer performing official duties and also made threats. After an alcohol test, it was determined that he had 1.64 promille of alcohol in his blood. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.
On 22 February 2026 at 01:00 in SVR Skopje, it was reported that in front of a hospitality establishment in the Centar area public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between V.V. On 21 February 2026 at 17:20 in SVR Skopje, G.V. (40) reported that around 12:00 in the Kisela Voda area he was physically assaulted by M.I. (33), both from Skopje. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.
On 21 February 2026 at 19:40, police officers from SVR Kumanovo deprived B.B. (23) from Skopje of liberty. During a basketball match in a sports hall in Kumanovo, he struck a minor child with a metal coin, causing injuries. He was detained at a police station, and after full documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow.
On 22 February 2026 at 02:40, in a casino located on “Tane Caleski” Street in Kichevo, police officers from OVR Kichevo found and confiscated two nylon packages containing remnants of a white powdery substance. In connection with this, they deprived R.Ch. (23) from the village of Crvevci (Kichevo region) and B.R. (21) from the village of Greshnica of liberty, and summoned Sh.F. (29) and A.A. (29) from the village of Garani for questioning. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will be filed.
SVR Tetovo filed a criminal complaint against H.Sh. (25) from Tetovo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.” In 2025 in Tetovo, police officers observed a passenger vehicle “BMW” in which two persons were conducting a marijuana sale. Immediately afterward, a search was conducted on one of the persons, during which marijuana was found that had previously been obtained from the reported suspect.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs Gostivar filed a criminal complaint against V.A. (51) and F.T. (56), both from the village of Negotino, Gostivar region, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.” On 13 May 2025 in Gostivar, police officers from the Department for Illicit Trade in Drugs and Weapons stopped a passenger vehicle in which the reported suspects were traveling, and during a search of the vehicle, cocaine was found and confiscated.
