On 20/21.02.2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived I.J. (46), U.B. (34), B.T. (43) and three juveniles aged 15, 16 and 17, all from Skopje, of their liberty after marijuana and a white lumpy substance were found and seized from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 20.02.2026 at around 20:55, it was reported to the Police Department in Debar that on “Isa Boletini” Street in Debar, a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Debar license plates, driven by E.B. (20) from Debar, struck pedestrian N.L. (80) from Debar. The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Special Hospital “St. Erasmus.” An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from the Debar Police Department.

On 21.02.2026 at around 00:20, it was reported to the Police Department in Vinica that on the regional road at the exit from Vinica towards Berovo, a passenger vehicle “Seat Arosa” with Vinica license plates, driven by M.M. (34) from the village of Krushevo, Vinica area, ran off the roadway. The driver died at the scene, and death was confirmed by a doctor from Emergency Medical Services. An inspection was conducted by an investigation team from the Vinica Police Department, and by order of a public prosecutor, the body was sent for autopsy.

On 20.02.2026, Z.I. (39) from the village of Gajre reported to SVR Tetovo that at around 20:00 in the village of Gajre he was intercepted by L.M. and a 16-year-old juvenile, who exited a passenger motor vehicle “Golf” with Tetovo license plates and forcibly took him into the yard of a house owned by L.M. There, they threatened him with a firearm and physically assaulted him with a hard object. After measures were taken, at around 21:50 on “Ilindenska” Street in Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo deprived A.M. (43) and E.M. (20) from the village of Gajre of their liberty. They were found in a “Golf” passenger vehicle that had previously failed to stop at a police signal. In the village of Gajre, in the presence of a parent, the 16-year-old juvenile was also deprived of liberty. The individuals are being held at a police station, and the vehicle has been retained for inspection at the Tetovo Police Station. Measures are being taken to locate L.M. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 21.02.2026 at 01:50 on “Pitarnica” Street in Gostivar, police officers from the Gostivar Police Department deprived F.I. (36) from the village of Vrutok of his liberty due to reasonable suspicion of committing several thefts during this and the previous month in the Gostivar area. After documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 20.02.2026 at 13:05, police officers from SVR Veles detained I.B. (31) from Veles, based on an order from the Basic Court Veles, to serve a prison sentence of two years and three months for the criminal offense of “aggravated theft” punishable under Article 236 of the Criminal Code. He was transferred to the Idrizovo Penitentiary for serving his sentence.

On 20.02.2026 at 21:45, Z.P. (51) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that on 15.02.2026 in the area of Gjorce Petrov she had been physically assaulted by I.T. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20.02.2026 at 14:50, M.K. (24) reported to SVR Skopje that in the Center area she had been physically assaulted by A.R. (45), both from Skopje. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 20.02.2026 at 20:20, D.J. (47) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at around 14:30 in the City Park in Skopje he was physically assaulted by a person using a hard object. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20.02.2025 at 14:50, A.A. reported to SVR Skopje that on 19.02.2026 at around 23:30 in the village of Aračinovo, Skopje area, his 17-year-old son was physically assaulted by three persons known to him. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20.02.2026 at around 10:40, the General City Hospital “St. Naum Ohridski” reported to SVR Skopje that I.S. (45) from Skopje had been admitted with serious bodily injuries sustained while performing work duties at a construction site in the Gjorce Petrov area. A labor inspector has been notified.

On 20.02.2026 at 17:00 in Sveti Nikole, police officers from the Sveti Nikole Police Department deprived R.A. (21) of his liberty following a prior report that he physically assaulted his 34-year-old partner at home and took her mobile phone and vehicle keys. After full documentation, appropriate charges will follow.

On 20.02.2026 at 18:30 at the Delcevo Police Station, police officers conducted an official interview with S.M. (37) from Delcevo following a prior report that he physically assaulted his 44-year-old sister, used a hard object, and made threats. After full documentation, appropriate charges will follow.

On 20.02.2026 at 19:00, it was reported to the Sveti Nikole Police Department that a fire broke out at a factory near Sveti Nikole. The fire was extinguished by the Territorial Firefighting Unit – Sveti Nikole. No injuries were reported. An inspection will be conducted during the day.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Vinica filed criminal charges against T.J. (20) due to grounds of suspicion for committing the criminal offense of “enabling the use of narcotic drugs.” Police officers conducted an inspection at a parking area known as “Vinicko Kale” in Vinica, where it was established that the suspect enabled another person to use marijuana. Marijuana was also found during a search of his moped.

SVR Veles filed criminal charges against H.D. (23) from Rosoman and U.S. (26) from Kavadarci on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.” On 17.07.2025, the first suspect sold marijuana to a 19-year-old, while the second suspect sold amphetamine and marijuana to the same person on the same day.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Gostivar filed criminal charges against H.S. (59) from Gostivar on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “violence against a child.” On 22.01.2026 in Gostivar, the suspect physically assaulted a minor who, together with several other minors, had been throwing snowballs at vehicles, one of which hit the suspect.
