Excerpt from the Daily Events Report 21 .09. 2026

The Shtip Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Shtip) filed a criminal complaint against F.D. (20) and I.Z. (20), both from Shtip, on reasonable grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offenses of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors” and “obstruction of evidence.” On 19 February 2026 in Shtip, police officers found and seized marijuana after they had previously observed the reported person throwing it away, thereby attempting to conceal or destroy the evidence.

The Shtip Sector for Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against M.N. (48) from Shtip, on reasonable grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “unauthorized manufacture, possession, brokering and trading in weapons and explosive materials.” On 8 December 2025, at an improvised stall at the City Square in Shtip and at the suspect’s family home, police officers found and seized pyrotechnic devices.

On 20/21 September 2026 in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs arrested A.A. (39), S.M. (27), S.J. (45) and a 17-year-old, all from Skopje, as well as L.K.I. (20) from Germany, because marijuana and a white powdery substance were found and seized from them. Following the complete documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal reports will be filed against them.

On 20 September 2026 at 15:00 in Kočani, police officers from the Kočani Internal Affairs Department arrested B.L. (30) from Kočani, acting on a previous report that at around 10:00 he had physically assaulted his 28-year-old brother at the family home. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal report will be filed.

On 20 September 2026 at 19:40 on Trajče Maglovski Street in Bitola, police officers from the Bitola Sector for Internal Affairs arrested Đ.Š. (34) and J.E. (35), both from Bitola, because marijuana was found on both of them during a search. Following the documentation of the incident, an appropriate criminal report will be filed.

On 20 September 2026 at 19:10, the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs received a report that at Skopje International Airport, following a previous argument, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between B.T. (20) from Tetovo and B.A. (42) from Kumanovo, during which a hard object was also used. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal report will be filed.

On 20 September 2026 at 21:30 in the village of Budimirci, Municipality of Novaci, police officers from the Bitola Sector for Internal Affairs arrested B.I. (36) from the village of Raštani, Bitola area, because a powdery substance was found on him during a search. Following the documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal report will be filed.

On 21 September 2026 at 01:10 in Veles, police officers from the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs arrested P.K. (71) from Veles, acting on a previous report that at the home he had threatened and insulted his 63-year-old wife. He was detained at a police station, a public prosecutor was notified, and following the documentation of the incident, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.

The Ohrid Sector for Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against A.M. (61) from Struga on reasonable grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of “abuse of official position and authority,” “negligent performance of official duties,” and “forgery of an official document.” The reported person, an employee of the Ministry of Finance – Administration for Property and Legal Affairs in Struga, working as an adviser and authorized signatory of documents, abused his position and authority by, during 2022, 2023 and 2024, preparing false decisions for the privatization of land belonging to other persons, arbitrarily affixing an official stamp certifying their finality, and sending them to the Struga Department of the Real Estate Cadastre, without first sending them to the competent institution for an opinion.

The Debar Internal Affairs Department filed a criminal complaint against S.R. (33) from the Skopje village of Ljuboten, on reasonable grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “evasion of payment of excise duty,” punishable under Article 279 of the Criminal Code. During a traffic control carried out on the Debar–Skopje main road, police officers stopped a passenger vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, driven by S.R., and found sacks containing more than 16 kilograms of tobacco, for which he did not have appropriate documentation.

On 20 September 2026 at 17:20, I.L. (51) reported to the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs that on 18 September 2026, in the village of Dolno Sonje, Skopje area, he had been physically assaulted by T.A. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20 September 2026 at 21:00 in Skopje, in the area of Karpoš, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs arrested M.N. (33) from Skopje, acting on a previous report that on 19 September 2026, at the home, he had made threats against his 60-year-old mother. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate criminal report will be filed.

On 20 September 2026 at 09:55, P.K. (20) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs that at around 06:00, at his workplace at a gas station in the Gazi Baba area, he had been physically assaulted by an individual. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20 September 2026 at 18:30, I.R. (41) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs that at around 13:00, in the Čair area, he had been physically assaulted by M.L. and J. “N.”, during which a hard object was also used. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 21 September 2026 at around 01:30, the Strumica Sector for Internal Affairs received a report that at the entrance to the village of Sekirnik, Strumica area, a passenger vehicle, a Range Rover with Strumica license plates, driven by 39-year-old M.I. from Novo Selo, struck 47-year-old Đ.K. from the village of Sekirnik, Strumica area. As a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene, while a doctor from the Strumica Emergency Medical Service pronounced him dead. The driver of the Range Rover, M.I., was arrested and detained at the Strumica Sector for Internal Affairs. An inspection was carried out by a public prosecutor and an investigative team from the Strumica Sector for Internal Affairs.

On 21 September 2026 at around 03:50, the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs received a report that a house in the village of Batinci, Skopje area, owned by A.S. (60) from the village of Crv Vrv, had been set on fire. The fire was extinguished by the Skopje Fire Protection Brigade, and there were no injured persons. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20 September 2026 at 20:00, N.B. (24) reported to the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs that in the village of Aračinovo, Skopje area, an individual whom he knew had physically assaulted him with a hard object and had previously fired a firearm. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 20 September 2026 at around 18:00, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs found four persons carrying out construction work in the Old Skopje Bazaar, and there is a possibility that objects of cultural heritage may be located inside the building. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
