On 19.05.2026 at 22:30, police officers from the Police Station for Border Checks and Border Surveillance Bogorodica deprived T.H. (51) from Gostivar, residing in Skopje, of his liberty. Namely, at around 21:40, during field surveillance, a group of five persons — Turkish nationals and T.H., who was accompanying them — was detected and prevented from illegally crossing the border from the Republic of North Macedonia into the Republic of Greece. The Turkish nationals were accommodated in a reception center. After consultation with a public prosecutor, T.H. was deprived of his liberty, and after full documentation of the case, charges will be filed against him under Article 211 of the Law on Foreigners – “assisting a foreigner in illegal exit.”

The Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards within the Ministry of Interior filed criminal charges with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption against D.S. and M.S. on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “mistreatment in the performance of duty.” The reported individuals, police officers in the Intervention Police Unit at SVR Skopje, on 19.04.2026 at around 03:00, while performing official duties, used excessive physical force and inflicted injuries on a detained person. The Department for Internal Control will also submit a proposal to initiate proceedings for determining responsibility for violation of work discipline against the police officers.

On 19.05.2026 in Skopje, at several locations, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived B.N. (33), M.R. (29), and N.P. (19), all from Skopje, of their liberty because brown powdery substance and marijuana were found and confiscated from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will follow.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Kriva Palanka filed criminal charges against B.C. (37) from Kriva Palanka on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “violence.” On 12.04.2026, in a hospitality facility in Kriva Palanka, the suspect obstructed members of a music group hired to perform at the venue, physically attacked one of the members, and damaged the musical equipment.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Struga filed criminal charges against K.M. (64) from Struga on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “assault on an official person while performing security duties.” On 14.05.2026 in Struga, the suspect physically attacked a police officer who was performing official duties.

On 19.05.2026 at 09:40, it was reported to SVR Skopje that on “Naroden Front” Street in Skopje, a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Tetovo registration plates, driven by I.S. (40) from the village of Falishe, Tetovo region, struck 64-year-old D.H.A. from Veles. The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries in the accident, confirmed at the “8 September” General City Hospital in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Skopje investigation team.

SVR Bitola filed criminal charges against M.Gj. (37) from Bitola on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “attempted robbery.” On 30.04.2026, the suspect, by threatening with a firearm, attempted to take money from an employee at the office of a financial company in Bitola.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Kriva Palanka filed criminal charges against S.M. (39) from Kriva Palanka on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses “obstructing an official person in the performance of official duties” and “removal and damage of an official seal or mark.” On 25.03.2026 in Kriva Palanka, the suspect failed to comply with a police officer’s order, tore off an official sticker, and unlocked the vehicle with which he had committed the criminal offense “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”

On 19.05.2026 at around 12:00 on “Radanski Pat” Street in Shtip, police officers from the Department for Illegal Drug and Weapons Trade at SVR Shtip deprived F.S. (22) from Kosovo, residing in Shtip, of his liberty. During a search, two packages of marijuana were found and confiscated from his bag. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

OVR Prilep filed criminal charges against K.T. (58) from the village of Kanatlarci, Prilep region, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “unauthorized manufacture, possession, mediation and trade in weapons and explosive materials.” On 06.09.2025, police officers conducted a search in the suspect’s home and other premises in the village of Kanatlarci, during which a “Ceska Zbrojovka” pistol with a magazine, ammunition, an “Ekol” pistol, and a knife were found and confiscated.

On 19.05.2026 at 16:00 in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived I.R. (36) from Skopje of his liberty, acting upon a previous report that after a brief argument at 06:25 in a casino in the Karposh area, he physically attacked M.V. (35) from the Skopje area, employed as security at the facility, using a sharp object. The object was found, and after full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 19.05.2026 at 11:00 in SVR Skopje, F.G. (37) from Skopje reported that at around 09:55 in the Centar area, after a prior misunderstanding in traffic, he was physically attacked by one person. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

SVR Kumanovo filed criminal charges against K.B. (41) from Turkey and A.D. (57) from the village of Slupchane, Lipkovo municipality, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “unauthorized production, handling and trade of dangerous substances, harmful organisms, seed material or planting material.” The first suspect, without possessing the required permit for chemical trade, illegally imported a dangerous toxic chemical substance — elemental iodine (99.9%) — in a total quantity of 25 kilograms from Turkey, following a prior agreement with the second suspect, who was tasked with taking over the chemical substance.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Berovo filed criminal charges against V.P. (41) from Pehchevo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “endangering security.” On 15.05.2026, the suspect made death threats against his sister and her father.

On 19.05.2026 at 16:00 in SVR Skopje, D.G. (46) from Skopje reported that at around 08:45 at the livestock market in the Gazi Baba area, due to allegedly unresolved debtor-creditor relations, N.A. threatened him with a pistol, after which he attacked D.G. and his father and inflicted injuries on them. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 16:45 in SVR Skopje, N.Ch. reported that at around 14:35 in the Bit Pazar area, due to unresolved debtor-creditor relations, he was physically attacked by two persons, one of whom he knew. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 23:00, police officers from SVR Kumanovo deprived Z.T. (62) from the village of Makresh, Staro Nagorichane municipality, of his liberty because he killed a dog with a hard object in his chicken coop. He was detained at a police station, and after full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against him.

On 19.05.2026 at 19:00 in SVR Skopje, S.I. (28) from Skopje reported that at around 11:00 in the Centar area of Skopje, after a prior misunderstanding, he was physically attacked by N.N. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 16:30 in SVR Skopje, I.A. (36) from Skopje, employed at ESM, reported that while performing work duties, at around 10:00 in the Centar area of Skopje, he sustained injuries confirmed at the Public Health Institution “St. Naum Ohridski” in Skopje. A labor inspector has been notified.

On 19.05.2026, SVR Skopje received a report that during the period from 16:30 on 18.05.2026 until 04:00 on 19.05.2026, in the parking area of a private company in the Aerodrom municipality area of Skopje, a “Hyundai” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, owned by the company, was damaged using a hard object, and a mobile phone was stolen. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 15:20 in SVR Skopje, D.T. (66) from Skopje reported that on 14.05.2026 at around 11:10 in the Aerodrom municipality area of Skopje, his son K.T. (18) was physically attacked by R.A. (18) from the village of Trubarevo, Skopje region, and a 17-year-old. According to the report, he had been harassed by these persons over a longer period within the premises of the secondary school they attended, and this had previously been reported to the school administration. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 21:30 in SVR Skopje, a 36-year-old woman from Skopje reported that over a longer period she had been receiving disturbing messages from A.M. (42) from Skopje. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19.05.2026 at 12:30 in SVR Skopje, I.S. (54) from Skopje reported that on 07.05.2026 at around 10:00 in the Gazi Baba area of Skopje, after a prior misunderstanding over a parking space, he and his brother M.S. were physically attacked by N.K., J.K., and another person, during which N.K. used a hard object. An inspection was carried out, and measures are being taken to clarify the incident.

On 18.05.2026 at 19:50 in SVR Skopje, A.U. (19) from the village of Ljubanci, Skopje region, reported that during the period from 17:00 to 17:40 in a sports betting shop in the Chair area of Skopje, his wallet containing money in various denominations and personal documents was stolen. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 16.05.2026 at 20:15 in the village of Singelikj, Skopje region, police officers from SVR Skopje detained S.R. (44) from the village of Singelikj because he disturbed public order and peace with aggressive behavior and threatened a police officer performing official duties with a sharp object. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 20.05.2026 at 03:10, police officers from SVR Skopje detained a minor from Skopje because in the City Park in the Karposh area of Skopje, he disturbed public order and peace with aggressive behavior toward police officers performing official duties. During checks, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol, specifically that he had 1.82 per mille alcohol in his blood. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.
