(33) from Struga due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and release into circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors". On 03.06.2025 in Struga, police officers conducted an inspection of a passenger vehicle driven by the defendant, during which marijuana was found and confiscated.
The State Police Headquarters Tetovo filed criminal charges against K.F. (60) from the village of Shemshovo, a Tetovo resident and legal entity due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of "fraud" and "giving false testimony". The defendants, during October, November and December 2024, without legal basis, prepared invoices for student transportation in the total amount of 2,152,447 denars and submitted them to a high school in Tetovo, and later on two occasions gave false statements in a notary's office, asking the notary to prepare a draft decision for a notary payment order.
The External Criminal Affairs Office in Gostivar filed criminal charges against V.A. (22) from Gostivar due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing a crime of "assault on an official while performing security work". On 01.01.2026 in a catering facility in Gostivar, the defendant behaved aggressively and made threats towards a police officer who was performing official duties.
The Tetovo State Police filed criminal charges against a legal entity from Tetovo and against B.A. (46) from Tetovo, owner and manager of the legal entity, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing a criminal offense of “violation of industrial property rights and unauthorized use of another’s company”. On 30.01.2025, a control was carried out in a sales facility of the legal entity in Tetovo, during which it was established that various counterfeit shoes and textiles from protected trademarks of well-known brands were being sold.
On 19.01.2026 in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the SVO Skopje deprived of their liberty N.E. (18), S.S. (37) and F.B. (39), all from Skopje and A.N. (20) from Veles because marijuana and a grinder were found and seized from them. After fully documenting the cases, appropriate submissions will follow.
On On 19.01.2026 at 09:00 at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, at the entrance to the country, police officers deprived M.S. (27) from Germany of her liberty. During a border control and after an inspection of a Volkswagen van with German national registration plates in which she was being transported, two jars of mushrooms with psychotropic substances were found and seized in the back of the vehicle, which M.S. declared to be hers. She was handed over to police officers from the Kumanovo Internal Affairs Directorate for further proceedings and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.
On 19.01.2026 at 14:00, the Tetovo Police Department reported that on Blvd. "Ilindenska" in Tetovo, a passenger vehicle "Volkswagen Golf" with Kosovo national registration plates, driven by M.I. (45) from Kosovo, hit the pedestrian Z.M. (73) from the village of Arnakija, Skopje region. Z.M. suffered serious injuries in the accident, which were diagnosed at the Tetovo Clinical Hospital. An inspection team from the Tetovo Police Department conducted an inspection.
On 19.01.2026 at 20:10 in the Drenovec settlement in Tetovo, police officers from the Tetovo Police Department deprived R.E. (23) from Tetovo, the leader of a fan group, of his liberty. He is suspected of having physically attacked A.J. (22) and D.P. (22), both from Skopje, at around 7:20 p.m. on Ivo Lola Ribar Street in Tetovo, together with several people wearing masks, using hard objects to injure A.J. and damaging their Mazda 3 vehicle. He has been detained at a police station, an inspection has been carried out and after the case has been fully investigated and documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
The Ohrid State Police filed criminal charges against T.T. (53) from Ohrid and E.D.G. (44) from Radoviš due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the crime of "illegal construction". They, as investors, began construction of a building on a cadastral plot in the Ohrid village of Velestovo, even though they knew that they did not possess an appropriate construction permit issued by a competent state authority. After an inspection carried out on 17.12.2025, it was determined that the facility was being built without approval from an inspector from the Inspection Department and a decision was prepared to remove the structure.
On 19.01.2026 at 11:45, police officers from the Veles SVR detained I.N. (48) from Veles, who was wanted on the basis of an order from the Veles Basic Court to serve a six-month prison sentence. He was taken to the Idrizovo Penal and Correctional Institution to serve his sentence.
On 19.01.2026 at 17:31, the Ohrid SVR was reported that a pungent smell of chlorine and increased steam from the pool were felt at a hotel swimming pool in Ohrid, after which four people developed a strong cough. They were transferred and detained at the Ohrid General Hospital and are out of danger. From the measures taken, it was concluded that a technical problem had occurred in the water circulation system, after which an authorized company replaced the system. Measures are being taken to completely clear up and document the event, after which an appropriate report will follow.
On 19.01.2026 at 17:00 in the village of Kuklish, Strumica, police officers from the Strumica Police Department deprived D.B. (50) from the same village of his liberty. He is suspected of having fired a single shot from a hunting rifle at around 14:00, killing a dog owned by M.G. from the village of Kuklish. An inspection was carried out by an inspection team from the Strumica Police Department and a veterinarian. The rifle was confiscated from D.B. and after documenting the case, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
Last weekend in Kumanovo, police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department deprived 24-year-old M.P. (24) from Kumanovo and M.V. (41) from the village of Ljubodrag, Kumanovo. Namely, police officers from the SVR Kumanovo, in cooperation with inspectors from the State Market Inspectorate, the State Labor Inspectorate and the Public Revenue Office, carried out a control in a catering facility in the village of Dobrošane, Kumanovo region, owned by M.P. During the control, 15 minors were found at a private celebration organized by M.V., of whom 11 were found to have consumed alcohol. After fully documenting the case, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
On 19.01.2026 at 20:00 in the SVR Skopje, O.J. (33) from the village of Cherkezi, Kumanovo region, reported that at around 17:20 in the village of Aračinovo, several shots were fired from a moving vehicle "Volkswagen Passat", damaging the windshield of the passenger vehicle "Volkswagen Golf" with Kumanovo license plates, in which he was traveling. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 19.01.2026 at 20:50 on ul. "Todor Cipovski Merdžan" in the area of Gjorce Petrov in Skopje, police officers from the SVR Skopje deprived S.T. (25) from Skopje of his liberty for physically attacking police officers who were performing official duties. After fully documenting the case, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
The SVR Kocani filed criminal charges against M.E.J. (40) and O.I. (29), both from Skopje. On 17.01.2026 in Kocani, police officers conducted a search in a passenger vehicle "Ford" with Skopje license plates, in which they were being transported, during which a white powdery substance was found and seized. A judge in a preliminary procedure, M.E.J. was sentenced to 30 days in custody and was taken to the Kumanovo Prison to serve the sentence. While, O.I. was given a precautionary measure.
On 20.01.2026 at around 01:30 in the SVR Skopje, H.I. (41) from Skopje, owner of a driving school, reported that a parked Mercedes truck with Skopje license plates, owned by the driving school, was set on fire in a parking lot in the Bit Pazar area in Skopje. No one was injured. An inspection was carried out by an inspection team of the SVR Skopje.
On 19.01.2026 at around 12:30 pm on the quay of the Vardar River in Skopje, during a religious event on the occasion of the Epiphany holiday, P.A. (20) from the village of Vizbegovo, Skopje region, and H.P. (27) from the village of Sopište, Skopje region, who participated in the event and entered the water, began to drown, after which they were taken out of the water by diving teams and transported by ambulance to the City General Hospital "8 Septemvri" in Skopje.
