On 18 August 2026, at different locations in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained S.M. (22) from the Municipality of Saraj, I.D. (40), O.I. (31), and a 16-year-old, all from Skopje, after brown powdery substance, white powdery substance, a lumpy substance, and marijuana were found and seized from them. After the cases have been fully documented, appropriate charges will follow.

On 18 August 2026, at 5:45 p.m., on the Prilep–Makedonski Brod road, near the village of Mazuchishte, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Department detained I.Q. (26) from the village of Crnichishte, Municipality of Dolneni. During a traffic check, the police stopped an “Audi” vehicle driven by I.Q. and established that he was driving without a driver’s license. After the incident is documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 18 August 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the Gostivar Internal Affairs Department received a report that on the regional road Gostivar–village of Padalishte, in the village of Lakavica, 29-year-old M.V. from the village of Strajane, Gostivar area, lost control while riding a “Honda” motorcycle and fell onto the roadway. In the accident, M.V. sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Medical Center in Gostivar. An inspection was carried out by an investigative team from the Gostivar Internal Affairs Department.

On 18 August 2026, at 2:40 p.m., on Risto Sekirchanec Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Department detained D.D. (41) from Prilep. During a traffic check, the police stopped a moped with Prilep registration plates, driven by D.D., and established that he did not possess a driver’s license. After the incident is documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Gostivar filed a criminal complaint against J.E. (20) from the village of Zhirovnica, Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostushe, on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.” On 16 August 2026, police officers conducted a search of the suspect’s home, during which hashish was found and seized.

On 18 August 2026, at 3:39 p.m., on Makedonska Falanga Street in Bitola, police officers from the Bitola Police Department detained J.N. (48) from Bitola. During a traffic check, the police stopped a moped with Bitola registration plates driven by J.N. and established that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol level of 2.23 per mille. After the incident is documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Berovo filed a criminal complaint against F.A. (42) from Pehchevo on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “violence against a child.” On 27 July 2026, at a place known as “Park Ezerce,” the suspect committed physical and psychological violence against a minor child.

On 18 August 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained T.K. (32) from Skopje. During a traffic check on Boris Trajkovski Boulevard in Skopje, the police stopped a “Fiat Punto” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates and established that T.K. was driving the vehicle before obtaining the legal right to drive. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

The Veles Police Department filed a criminal complaint against B.P. and G.M. from Veles on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “damaging and unauthorized access to a computer system.” On 4 June 2026 in Veles, the first suspect found a payment card and handed it to the second suspect, who used it to pay for goods at several points of sale.

On 18 August 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the village of Batinci, Skopje area, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained a 15-year-old from Skopje. During a traffic check, the police stopped a “Toyota” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates and established that the minor was driving the vehicle before obtaining the legal right to drive. A public prosecutor was notified of the incident. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 19 August 2026, at 12:30 a.m. in Kavadarci, police officers from the Kavadarci Internal Affairs Department detained M.D. (21) from Kavadarci. A white powdery substance was found and seized in his vicinity, and M.D. confirmed that he had left it there after noticing the police officers. Following measures taken and checks carried out, it was established that M.D. was under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol level of 1.97 per mille. He was detained at a police station, a public prosecutor was notified, and after the incident is documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

Last night (19 August 2026), at 1:20 a.m., A.M. (28) from Strumica was detained at the Gevgelija Police Station. He was wanted under a warrant for escaping from prison, where he had been serving a two-year prison sentence for the criminal offense of “aggravated theft,” with another 10 months remaining to be served. He was transferred to the Idrizovo Penitentiary to serve the remainder of his sentence.

On 18 August 2026, between 11:30 a.m. and 9:05 p.m., police officers from the Gostivar Internal Affairs Department, together with the Customs Administration, Public Revenue Office, and State Market Inspectorate, conducted an inspection at a jewelry store in central Gostivar owned by K.M. (64) from Gostivar. During the inspection, because the gold had not been declared or did not have the appropriate hallmark, the State Market Inspectorate, from the employee Z.M. (59), seized 1 kilogram and 327 grams of gold jewelry, with an estimated value of approximately €86,959, for further proceedings to be conducted by the State Market Inspectorate.

On 18 August 2026, at 4:05 p.m. in Gevgelija, police officers detained B.S. (59) from Gevgelija. During a road traffic check, the police stopped a moped with Gevgelija registration plates driven by B.S. and, after taking the necessary measures, established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. The moped was seized, and a public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was notified. After the case is documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 18 August 2026, the Veles Police Department received a report that at around 1:00 p.m. on Aleksandar Makedonski Street in Gradsko, a passenger vehicle struck a 10-year-old minor from the village of Ulanci, Municipality of Gradsko, after which the driver left the scene in the vehicle. The pedestrian sustained bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Veles General Hospital. An investigative team from the Veles Police Department conducted an inspection, and measures are being taken to locate the perpetrator and the vehicle and to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 9:15 a.m. in Radovish, police officers from the Strumica Police Department–Radovish Internal Affairs Department detained a 43-year-old woman from Radovish because, at around 5:00 a.m., she physically attacked her 72-year-old mother in the family home. She was taken to a medical facility, and a public prosecutor was notified of the incident. After the case is documented, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On 18 August 2026, at 9:15 a.m., near a place known as Bunec, police officers from the Mavrovo Police Unit detained B.A. (47) from the village of Duf. During a traffic check, it was established that he was driving a “Mercedes” cargo motor vehicle with Gostivar registration plates without a driver’s license. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.

On 18 August 2026, at 4:30 p.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department detained D.Z. (47) from Kumanovo because he physically attacked his 23-year-old son and behaved aggressively toward his wife. He was taken to a police station, and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 18 August 2026, at 1:00 p.m., police officers from the Tetovo Police Department detained A.M. (61) from Tetovo on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 396 of the Criminal Code — “unauthorized manufacture, possession, brokering and trafficking in weapons or explosive substances.” During an inspection at a jewelry store on Ilindenska Street in Tetovo, 169 rounds of 9×19 mm ammunition were found. The individual was detained at a police station and, after the case is documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 19 August 2026, at 2:40 a.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department detained D.M. (19) from Kumanovo because he physically attacked his 45-year-old father. He was taken to a police station and, after the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 18 August 2026, at 12:55 p.m. in the village of Toplica, Gostivar area, police officers from the Galate Police Unit detained B.M. (34) from the village of Toplica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “attempted aggravated theft.” According to the report, earlier that day he used force and a suitable tool to open the entrance door and enter a sports betting shop on Brakja Ginovski Street, but left the premises after the alarm was activated. He was detained at a police station and, after the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

Last night (19 August 2026), at 1:11 a.m. in Valandovo, police officers from the Strumica Police Department–Valandovo Internal Affairs Department detained a 43-year-old resident of a village in the Valandovo area, acting on a previous report that he had behaved aggressively toward his former wife. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was notified, and after the case is documented, an appropriate submission will be filed against the individual.

On 18 August 2026, at 7:52 a.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report that a fire had broken out on the roof structure of two adjoining houses on Jurij Gagarin Street in Skopje, owned by G.K. (52) and 80-year-old L.C.T., both from Skopje. No persons were injured, and a team from the Skopje Fire Protection Brigade extinguished the fire. An inspection was carried out by an investigative team from the Skopje Police Department.

On 18 August 2026, at 10:15 p.m., A.S. from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 5:00 p.m. in the Gazi Baba area, his 12-year-old son had been physically attacked by M.N. According to the report, the perpetrator had previously attacked the minor as well. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 11:37 a.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report that T.B. (82) had died in the yard of a family house in the Kjeramidnica neighborhood of Skopje. An emergency medical doctor confirmed the death, and, on the instructions of a public prosecutor, the deceased’s body was handed over for an autopsy.

On 18 August 2026, at 7:40 p.m., on Partizanska Street in Struga, criminal police officers from the Struga Internal Affairs Department detained A.I. (21) from the Tetovo-area village of Sinichane because marijuana was found and seized during a search of his person. After the incident is fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 18 August 2026, the Štip Police Department received a report from a 46-year-old woman from Štip that she had been physically attacked in her family home by her unmarried partner, S.V. from Štip, who used a hard object and damaged part of the household furnishings. A public prosecutor was notified, and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will follow.

The Ohrid Police Department filed a criminal complaint against E.S. (32) from Ohrid and against a legal entity owned by him, on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “violation of employment rights.” Through the legal entity, E.S. employed a 21-year-old person from Ohrid without concluding an employment contract, that is, without establishing an employment relationship with the legal entity. In doing so, E.S., through the legal entity, knowingly violated the provisions of Article 166 of the Criminal Code and failed to comply with the regulations and collective agreement governing the establishment of an employment relationship.

On 18 August 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in Ohrid, police officers from the Ohrid Police Department detained J.T. (35) from Ohrid, acting on a previous report that he had behaved aggressively toward family members at the family home in Ohrid, after which he physically attacked T.O. (33) from Ohrid. After the incident is fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against the perpetrator.

On 18 August 2026, at 6:10 p.m., on Vlaski Pat Street in Kichevo, police officers from the Kichevo Internal Affairs Department detained a 15-year-old from Kichevo. Earlier, he had been riding a moped with Kichevo registration plates without having passed the appropriate driving test and collided with a bicycle ridden by A.A. (68) from the Kichevo-area village of Crvevci, who sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the General Hospital in Kichevo. After the case is fully documented, a criminal complaint will be filed against the minor under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code — “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”

On 18 August 2026, at 12:40 p.m., the Debar Internal Affairs Department received a report that B.A. (26) from Debar had behaved aggressively toward his wife. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 18 August 2026, at 12:04 p.m., L.P. (71) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 10:30 a.m. in the Center area of Skopje, an individual used physical force to take her mobile phone. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 5:15 p.m., in the Kisela Voda area of Skopje, police officers detained A.J. (38) from Skopje, acting on a previous report by his 63-year-old father that at around 4:00 p.m. in the family home, he had threatened him with a sharp object and damaged part of the household furnishings. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 18 August 2026, at 12:30 p.m., M.M. (54) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that on 17 August 2026, at around 9:30 p.m. in the Karposh area of Skopje, her minor daughter had been physically attacked by a female individual. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, the Skopje Police Department received a report from H.V. (30) from Skopje, the owner of a retail establishment, that on 17 August 2026, at around 11:18 p.m. in the Gjorche Petrov area of Skopje, two individuals took products from the establishment, one of whom physically attacked him. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 1:00 p.m., P.J. (19) from Serbia reported to the Skopje Police Department that, sometime between October 2024 and July 2026, a bronze bust had been taken from a grave at the Butel cemetery. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 9:30 p.m., A.M. (37) from the village of Ljubanci, Skopje area, reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 8:15 p.m. in a market in the Chair area of Skopje, while carrying out his work duties, an individual threatened to kill him and tore off his badge. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 19 August 2026, at 2:10 a.m., J.R. (33) from the village of Batinci, Skopje area, reported to the Skopje Police Department that on 18 August 2026, at around 10:00 p.m. in the Kisela Voda area of Skopje, following a previous misunderstanding in traffic, he was physically attacked by an individual. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 17 August 2026, at 12:10 p.m., S.N. (43) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that on 16 August 2026, at around 7:30 p.m., at a playground in the Aerodrom area of Skopje, following a previous misunderstanding, his minor son was physically attacked by another minor, a classmate of his. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 18 August 2026, at 7:20 p.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report that at around 6:45 p.m. on a plot of land in the Singeliќ neighborhood of Skopje, following a previous misunderstanding, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical confrontation between S.I. (28) and his minor son on one side, and F.S. (28) and B.S. (66) on the other side, all from the village of Singeliќ, Skopje area. A pistol butt and a metal object were used during the confrontation. After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will follow.
