On 18/19 April 2026 in Skopje, at several locations, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs deprived of liberty M.G. (28), V.V. (50), D.M. (45), E.I. (40), P.P. (26), J.Gj. (23) and a 15-year-old, all from Skopje, as well as K.I. (28) from the village of Jurumleri (Skopje area), M.G. (29) from Croatia, and S.P. (24) from Greece, because white lumpy substance, powdery substance, marijuana, and tablets were found and seized from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
On 18 April 2026 at 16:00, it was reported to the Police Department Radovish that in the village of Konche (Radovish area), a traffic accident occurred between two motorcycles ridden by a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, both from the village of Konche. In the accident, the 13-year-old sustained serious bodily injuries, while the 12-year-old sustained bodily injuries, confirmed at the Clinical Hospital Shtip and the Public Health Center Radovish. An investigation was carried out by an inspection team from the Police Department Radovish.
The Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against Gj.B. (25) from Tetovo due to grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offense “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors.” On 14 April 2026, police officers searched the suspect and found and seized marijuana.
On 18 April 2026 at 15:00, it was reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Veles that on the local road Veles–Kamenolom, at a place called “Groot,” a MAN truck with a trailer bearing Skopje license plates, driven by Z.K. (61) from Veles, overturned on the roadway. In the accident, the driver sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the General Hospital Veles. An investigation was conducted by an inspection team from the Sector for Internal Affairs Veles.
On 18 April 2026 at 13:20, it was reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Tetovo that in the village of Prshovce, Jegunovce municipality, a traffic accident occurred between a Mercedes truck with Tetovo license plates, driven by S.E. (34) from the village of Shemshevo, and a bicycle ridden by a minor from the village of Prshovce. In the accident, the minor sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Clinical Hospital Tetovo. A public prosecutor from the Tetovo Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified. An investigation was carried out by an inspection team from the Sector for Internal Affairs Tetovo.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs Berovo filed a criminal complaint against S.K. (53) from the village of Rusinovo due to grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offense “forgery of documents.” The suspect submitted a falsified certificate of English language proficiency in response to a public call for the selection of a principal of a municipal primary school.
On 18 April 2026 at 13:00, it was reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Ohrid that on an unclassified road near the Ljubanista auto camp, a tractor driven by V.S. (67) from the village of Velmej, Debrca municipality, overturned. In the accident, the driver sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Special Hospital “St. Erasmus” Ohrid. An investigation was carried out by an inspection team from the Sector for Internal Affairs Ohrid.
The Tetovo Sector for Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against B.I. (43) due to grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offenses “bodily injury” and “endangering safety.” The suspect physically and psychologically abused his partner and her children, and in the past three months sent them threatening messages via a mobile application.
On 18 April 2026, it was reported to the Police Department Prilep that artillery shells were found in a field at a place called “Gorno Sadovo” (Prilep area). A pyrotechnician from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue safely removed the explosive devices, determining that they were two old artillery shells with calibers of 155 mm and 122 mm and two 122 mm fuses originating from World War I.
On 18 April 2026 at 20:00, M.M. (43) from the village of Saraj (Skopje area) reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Skopje that at around 13:48 in front of a catering facility in Saraj, after a prior misunderstanding and argument, Sh.S. and M.S. made threats against him, during which Sh.S. pointed a pistol at him. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 19 April 2026 at 02:50, in a nightclub in the Karposh area of Skopje, police officers from the Intervention Police Unit at the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs deprived N.T. (28) from Probishtip of liberty because a white powdery substance was found and seized from him. Upon arrival at the Karposh Police Station, N.T. physically attacked police officers performing official duties and attempted to escape but was subdued and detained. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
On 19 April 2026 at 00:54, M.Ch. (30) from the village of Trubarevo (Skopje area) reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Skopje that on 18 April 2026 at 18:50 in Trubarevo she was physically attacked by F.N. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 18 April 2026 at 15:00, I.S.K. (47) from Skopje reported to the Sector for Internal Affairs Skopje that at around 10:15 in the Chair area, her 15-year-old son was physically attacked by several persons. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 18 April 2026 at 04:40 in Skopje, police officers from the Sector for Internal Affairs Skopje deprived J.K. from Kosovo of liberty, acting on a prior report that he had damaged a sales facility within a private hospital complex in the Karposh area using a sharp object. The object was confiscated, and upon instruction of a preliminary procedure judge from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje, he was transferred to the Skopje Correctional Facility.
