On 16/17 August 2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs arrested A.K. (29), F.I. (27), I.D. (33), N.Z. (18), all from Skopje, as well as a 16-year-old from the village of Ognjanci, Skopje region, K.I. (28) from the village of Jurumleri, Skopje region, N.M. (40) from the Goce Delchev neighborhood, Skopje, and Z.Sh. (37) from Germany, residing in Shtip, because marijuana, white lumpy and white powdery substances, and a knife were found and confiscated from them. After the cases have been fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
The Gostivar External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against H.S. (34) from the Gostivar area on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Bodily Injury.” On July 31, 2026, at the family home, the suspect physically assaulted his mother, after which he took money and vehicle keys from her handbag.
On August 16, 2026, at around 9:45 p.m., the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs was notified that on the Skopje–Tetovo highway, in the area of the village of Laskarci, Skopje region, a passenger vehicle, a BMW with Tetovo registration plates, driven by E.K. (23) from the village of Palatica, Tetovo region, hit a fence and went off the road. In the accident, the driver E.K. and passengers M.S. (19) and a 15-year-old sustained serious bodily injuries, while passenger E.K. (20), all from the village of Palatica, sustained bodily injuries. Their injuries were confirmed at the Emergency Center of the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex. A public prosecutor was notified, and an inspection of the scene was carried out by an investigative team from the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs.
The Gostivar External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against J.A. (52) from the Gostivar area on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Bodily Injury.” On August 2, 2026, at the family home, the suspect physically assaulted his father.
On August 16, 2026, at 5:56 a.m., the Resen Internal Affairs Department was notified that at approximately 5:37 a.m., on Korchulanska Street in Resen, a passenger vehicle, a Chevrolet with Resen registration plates, driven by 66-year-old L.S. from the village of Stenje, Resen region, went off the road. In the accident, L.S. and her 71-year-old passenger R.D. from Resen sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Bitola Clinical Hospital. A public prosecutor was notified, and an inspection was carried out by an investigative team from the Resen Internal Affairs Department.
The Delchevo External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against F.Gj. (25) from Delchevo on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “Endangering Safety” and “Violence Against a Child.” On August 7, 2026, in Delchevo, the suspect physically assaulted his partner and subsequently sent her threats via a social network.
On August 16, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., the Kochani Internal Affairs Department was notified that on the Zrnovci–Ponikva road, near a location known as “Komposara,” a Hamachi motorcycle without registration plates, driven by J.J. (18) from the village of Trkanje, Kochani region, overturned on the road. In the accident, the driver sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Kochani General Hospital. A public prosecutor was notified, and an inspection was carried out by an investigative team from the Kochani Internal Affairs Department.
The Veles Department of Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against T.M. (35) from Turkey on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Migrant Smuggling.” On August 11, 2026, on the Gevgelija–Negotino highway, at the Demir Kapija toll station, police officers inspected a passenger vehicle, a Škoda, driven by the suspect, in which four migrants were found.
On August 16, 2026, at 9:10 p.m., the Pehchevo Police Office was notified that on the local road from Pehchevo to the “Ravna Reka” tourist settlement, a passenger vehicle, an Opel with Pehchevo registration plates, driven by D.Ts. (34), went off the road. The driver and his passengers M.B. (40), O.D., A.S. (35), and N.S. (52) sustained injuries, which were confirmed at Kochani General Hospital. An inspection was carried out by an investigative team from the Kochani Internal Affairs Department.
On August 16, 2026, at around 4:50 p.m. in Kichevo, police officers from the Kichevo Internal Affairs Department arrested R.M. (27) from Kichevo, following a prior report that he had physically assaulted his 27-year-old brother-in-law from Kichevo and threatened him with a sharp object. The sharp object was found, and the suspect was detained at a police station. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.
On August 17, 2026, at 1:50 a.m., M.Sh. (26) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs that he had been physically assaulted by one person in the Bit Pazar area of Skopje. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
The Kichevo External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against M.T. (25) from Skopje on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Enabling the Use of Narcotic Drugs.” On June 17, 2026, on the Kichevo–Ohrid main road, police officers inspected a Ford passenger vehicle driven by the suspect, in which marijuana was found and confiscated. The suspect had previously enabled his passenger to use the marijuana.
On August 16, 2026, at 8:40 p.m., in a village in the Strumica area, police officers from the Strumica Department of Internal Affairs arrested a 65-year-old resident of the village. According to the report, earlier that day, he behaved aggressively toward his 64-year-old wife at the family home and physically assaulted her. He was detained at the Strumica Police Station, and a public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Strumica was notified of the incident. After the case has been documented, an appropriate charge will be filed against the person.
The Berovo External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against S.D. (33) from Berovo on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Violence Against a Child,” and against A.D. (33) from Berovo on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Endangering Safety.” On July 6, 2026, the first suspect, an employee at the Municipal Public Institution for Children—a kindergarten in Berovo—stepped on the finger of the hand of a minor child at the kindergarten. Meanwhile, the second suspect threatened the first suspect at the same institution.
On August 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., A.S. (70) from the village of Trubarevo, Skopje region, reported to the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs that at around 6:00 p.m. in the village of Trubarevo, he had been physically assaulted by E. “N” and three other people. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On August 16, 2026, at 10:45 p.m., a 52-year-old woman from Gostivar reported to the Gostivar Internal Affairs Department that her son V.D., with whom she does not live in the same household, had threatened her by telephone during the day and had physically assaulted her several times previously. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On August 16, 2026, at 12:50 p.m., F.B. (33) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs that on August 15, 2026, he had been physically assaulted by several people in the Shuto Orizari area. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On August 16, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. in Skopje, in the Chair area, police officers from the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs arrested D.P. (36) from Skopje, following a prior report that he had physically assaulted his 41-year-old partner. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed.
On August 16, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., A.S.S. (35), a paraglider from Poland, reported to the Bitola Department of Internal Affairs that he had landed in an unknown area above the village of Strovia and had walked for a long time. He said that he was tired but not injured. On August 17, 2026, at around 3:00 a.m., police officers from the Ropotovo Police Office and the Prilep Police Station found A.S.S. in an inaccessible area of Mount Dautica in good health and transported him to the place where he was staying.
On August 16, 2026, at around 8:00 p.m., I.M. (41) reported to the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs that he had been physically assaulted in the yard of his house in the village of Batintsi, Skopje region, by S.S., M.S., N.S., A.S., and R.S. N.S. then broke a glass pane in the entrance door with a hard object, while S.S. used a sharp object to inflict cuts on the person reporting the incident and his minor son. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
The Sveti Nikole External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against three 15-year-olds, all from Sveti Nikole, on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Causing General Danger.” On March 21, 2026, the suspects caused a fire in front of a supermarket in Sveti Nikole.
On August 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Skopje, in the Centar area, police officers from the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs arrested A.O. (61) from Skopje, following a prior report that he had threatened his 40-year-old nephew and attempted to attack him with a hard object. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate charge will be filed.
On August 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., a 36-year-old woman reported to the Skopje Department of Internal Affairs that on August 14, 2026, after she picked up her five-year-old daughter from kindergarten in the Hrom neighborhood, the child told her that she had been hit by a caregiver, specifically that the caregiver had squeezed her leg. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
