On 06.01.2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the Skopje Sector of Internal Affairs (SIA Skopje) deprived of liberty A.K. (31), B.A. (73) and A.N. (46), all from Skopje, and M.M. (26) from Berovo, after marijuana and a white powdery substance were found and seized from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will follow.

On 06.01.2026 at around 21:50, it was reported to SIA Skopje that a traffic accident occurred on “Serbia” Boulevard in Skopje between a passenger vehicle “Daihatsu” with Bulgarian license plates, driven by J.Ch. (63) from Prilep with residence in Skopje, and a “Tomos” tricycle driven by M.S. (18) from Skopje. M.S. and his passenger S.R. (23) sustained serious bodily injuries, while another passenger from the tricycle, I.S. (19), sustained bodily injuries. All are from Skopje, and the injuries were confirmed at the City General Hospital “St. Naum Ohridski.” An on-site inspection was carried out by an investigative team from SIA Skopje.

On 06.01.2026 at 21:35 on the Gostivar–Tetovo highway near the village of Zherovjane, police officers from SIA Tetovo deprived of liberty S.S. (31) from Gostivar and Ch.J.B. (24) from the Republic of Turkey, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “counterfeiting money.” Earlier, at 17:15, they had been reported at the Zherovjane Police Station by A.R. (22) from the village of Zherovjane, an employee at a gas station in the same village, who stated that at around 15:40, after refueling a passenger vehicle “Citroën” with Gostivar license plates, they handed over a €50 banknote which he suspected to be counterfeit. They were detained at a police station and, after documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 06.01.2026 at 09:00 in the village of Poroj, police officers from SIA Tetovo deprived of liberty E.N. (38) and F.T., both from Poroj. During a search conducted pursuant to a court order in a house and auxiliary premises in Poroj, six mobile phones and a brown powdery substance were found and seized. They were detained at a police station and, after documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

On 06.01.2026 at 20:55, J.G. (37) from Skopje reported to SIA Skopje that at around 20:00 in the Bit Pazar area she was physically assaulted by A.R. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 06.01.2026 at 13:30, police officers from SIA Skopje deprived of liberty D.L. (36) from Skopje, following a report that on 04.01.2025, while traveling in his passenger vehicle in the Central area, he physically assaulted his 36-year-old partner. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.

On 06.01.2026 at 22:20, A.J.E. (27) from the Republic of Turkey reported to SIA Skopje that at around 19:15, in front of a shopping center in the Gazi Baba area, he and his wife entered a taxi with a final destination in the Bit Pazar area. Upon arrival, the complainant took out 2,000 denars and €50 and asked the taxi driver how much the fare was, after which the driver took the money and forced them out of the vehicle. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 06.01.2026 at 15:40, A.H. (52) from Skopje reported to SIA Skopje that on 05.01.2026 at around 23:30, in the municipality of Aerodrom, she was physically assaulted by R. “N”. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 06.01.2026 at 14:45, M.G.D. from the Republic of Turkey, residing in Skopje, reported to SIA Skopje that on 05.01.2026 at around 17:50 in the Bit Pazar area he was intercepted by V.F. and “O. N.”, after which V.F. began hitting his vehicle. Later, he was again intercepted by V.F. and another person, who physically assaulted him and damaged his vehicle. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 06.01.2026 at 10:00 at the Berovo Police Station, a 37-year-old woman reported that in her home in the Berovo area she was physically assaulted by her extramarital partner M.J. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 06.01.2026 at 12:00, it was reported to the Struga Police Station that in a field located on a local road between the Struga villages of Livada and Koroshishta, a “Zastava” pistol, caliber 6.35 mm, and five bullets were found. An on-site inspection was conducted by a police team, after which the items were seized for further proceedings. After full clarification of the event, appropriate charges will follow.

The Ohrid SIA filed criminal charges against G.L. (66) from the Ohrid village of Leskoec, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense “illegal construction.” Without obtaining a valid construction permit issued by the Sector for Urbanism and Management of Construction Land of the Municipality of Ohrid, he illegally constructed a building on a cadastral parcel located in the area known as “Debelo Pole” near Ohrid.
