Excerpt from some of the daily events 04.08.2026

The Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Kumanovo) filed a criminal complaint against F.R. (44) from Kumanovo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors." On 2 July 2026, during a search of the suspect conducted by police officers in Kumanovo, marijuana was found and seized.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Struga filed a criminal complaint against M.M. (55) from the Struga area on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Endangering safety." On 8 July 2026, at the family home, the suspect threatened his sister.

On 3/4 August 2026, at various locations in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Skopje) deprived D.Č. (35), Z.T. (26), T.T. (32), and Z.D. (34), all from Skopje, as well as A.S. (32) from the village of Trubarevo (Skopje area) and A.Lj. (19) from Serbia, of their liberty after marijuana and a white lumpy substance were found and seized from them. Upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

On 3 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m., it was reported to SVR Skopje that A.K. (44) from Skopje sustained serious bodily injuries after falling from a bicycle on "7" Street in the village of Katlanovo, Skopje area. The injuries were confirmed at the St. Naum Ohridski General Hospital in Skopje. A police investigation was carried out by an inspection team from SVR Skopje.

On 3 August 2026 at 8:00 a.m., at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entering the country, police officers deprived Ќ.H. (55) from Serbia of his liberty after he presented a forged driver's license during border control. A public prosecutor was informed, and upon completion of the case documentation, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 3 August 2026 at 8:50 p.m., on the road between the villages of Kuklish and Svidovica in the Strumica region, police officers from SVR Strumica deprived E.N. (21) and M.M. (26), both from the village of Bansko (Strumica area), of their liberty. Marijuana was found during a search. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Strumica was informed, and appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 10:00 p.m., police officers from the Kavadarci Police Department (OVR Kavadarci) deprived D.P. (41) from Kavadarci of her liberty following a report by her 75-year-old mother-in-law, who stated that D.P. had threatened her in her home. D.P. was detained at a police station, a public prosecutor was notified, and appropriate charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.

On 3 August 2026 at 10:30 a.m., it was reported to the Gostivar Police Department (OVR Gostivar) that a traffic accident occurred on the Gostivar–Gradec regional road between an Audi with Gostivar registration plates driven by E.B. (52) from Gostivar and a Volkswagen Golf with German registration plates driven by A.S. (30) from the village of Dobridol. A.S. sustained serious bodily injuries, while E.B. and one passenger suffered bodily injuries. Their injuries were confirmed at the Gostivar Emergency Medical Center. A police inspection team from OVR Gostivar conducted an investigation at the scene.

On 4 August 2026 at 2:30 a.m. in Tetovo, police officers deprived R.Dž. (24) from Skopje of his liberty after he was reported by his 41-year-old mother for physically assaulting her and using a hard object during the assault in their family home in Tetovo at around 11:30 p.m. on 3 August 2026. He was detained at a police station, and appropriate charges will follow after the case is fully documented.

The Struga Police Department (OVR Struga) filed a criminal complaint against A.Č. (58) from Struga on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Violence against a child." On 21 July 2026, at a beach in Struga, he physically assaulted a minor.

The Struga Police Department also filed a criminal complaint against S.G. (52) from Struga on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Violence" under Article 386, paragraph 5 of the Criminal Code. On 2 August 2026 at 2:15 p.m., in the village of Tašmaruništa near Struga, he was deprived of his liberty following a report that he had verbally insulted public officials attending an event marking 2 August (Ilinden).

On 3 August 2026 at 9:20 p.m., in a village in the Struga area, police officers deprived A.H. (39) of his liberty following a report that he had physically assaulted his father in the family home. After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 3 August 2026 at 2:30 a.m., on Third Macedonian Assault Brigade Boulevard in Kumanovo, police officers from SVR Kumanovo deprived H.S. (22) from Skopje of his liberty. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf with Skopje registration plates driven by H.S. It was established that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol concentration of 1.98‰ (per mille). Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 9:30 p.m., the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex in Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that K.I. (51) from Skopje had been admitted with serious bodily injuries. According to the report, on 2 August 2026 at around 8:00 p.m., while riding a motorcycle in the Aerodrom Municipality, he lost control and fell onto the roadway. A police investigation was conducted. It was subsequently established that he had been riding the motorcycle without a valid driver's license and that the motorcycle was not registered. A public prosecutor was informed, and upon completion of the investigation, criminal charges under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code will be filed.

On 3 August 2026 at 5:10 p.m., F.N. (50) reported to SVR Skopje that he had been physically assaulted in front of his home in the Bit Pazar area by his neighbor S.M. (40), both from Skopje. Upon full documentation of the case, the appropriate legal submission will follow.

On 3 August 2026 at 10:50 p.m., it was reported to SVR Skopje that, following a verbal argument in the Chair area, public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical altercation between H.D. (24) and E.D. (61) on one side and R.R. (51) on the other, all from Skopje. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 8:55 p.m., it was reported to SVR Skopje that public order and peace had been disturbed in the Shuto Orizari area during a confrontation between R.M. (59), R.R. (27), and R.R. (25) on one side and M.R. (32), L.R. (26), and B.R. (30) on the other, all from Skopje. Hard objects were used during the incident. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

On 3 August 2026 at 3:45 p.m., police officers from SVR Skopje deprived B.J. (30) from Skopje and N.A. (34) from the village of Aračinovo, Skopje area, of their liberty following a report that, after an argument with F.A. (29) from Skopje in the Gazi Baba area, B.J. fired a single shot from a handgun and then left the scene in a passenger vehicle together with N.A. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

On 3 August 2026 at 2:50 p.m., it was reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 12:00 noon, gunfire had occurred during a family celebration in the yard of a house in the village of Saraj, owned by N.S. (62). Police officers responded to the scene and recovered 23 spent cartridge cases, which were collected for further forensic examination. A public prosecutor was informed, and measures are being taken to fully investigate the incident.

On 4 August 2026 at 7:10 a.m., K.K. (60) reported to SVR Skopje that she had been physically assaulted by her neighbor B.J. (64), both from the village of Petrovec, Skopje area. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 10:40 p.m., in the village of Bojane, Skopje area, police officers from SVR Skopje detained M.D. (35) following a report that he had fired a gas pistol during a family celebration. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 11:30 a.m., police officers from SVR Skopje deprived J.A. (35) from the village of Saraj, Skopje area, of his liberty. During a traffic control on Justinian I Street in Skopje, officers stopped a Mercedes with Skopje registration plates and established that J.A. was driving an unregistered vehicle without having obtained the legal right to drive (without a valid driver's license). A public prosecutor was informed, and the vehicle was seized. Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.

On 3 August 2026 at 2:25 p.m., police officers from SVR Skopje deprived A.S. (27) from Skopje of his liberty. During a traffic control on Mother Teresa Boulevard in Skopje, officers stopped an Opel Corsa with Skopje registration plates and established that A.S. was driving before obtaining the legal right to drive (without a valid driver's license). Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.

The Kumanovo Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Kumanovo) filed a criminal complaint against M.M. (30) from Sveti Nikole on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors." On 2 October 2025, during a search of the suspect, police officers found and seized 392 buprenorphine tablets.
