On 01.05.2026 at 16:00 in Skopje, at several locations, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived of liberty M.R. (25), S.B. (21) and a minor, all from Skopje, Z.T. (42) and V.N. (26), both from the village of Volkovo (Skopje area), and M.B. (19) from the village of Sredno Konjare (Skopje area), because white powdery substance and marijuana were found and seized from them. After full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will follow.
On 01.05.2026 at around 17:00, it was reported to SVR Shtip that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of “Boris Krajger” Street and “Ante Banina” Street between a passenger vehicle “BMW” with Shtip plates, driven by M.S. (64) from Shtip, and a motorcycle “Aprilia” with Shtip plates, driven by a minor from Shtip. In the accident, the motorcycle driver sustained serious bodily injuries, while his minor passenger sustained bodily injuries, confirmed at the Clinical Hospital Shtip. After checks, it was established that both minors were under the influence of alcohol, with 0.27 and 0.16 per mille respectively. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Shtip team on the order of a public prosecutor.
On 01.05.2026 at 21:10 at the Deve Bair border crossing, upon entry into the country, police officers deprived M.I.G. (57) from the Republic of Turkey of liberty because during border control of a bus with Turkish plates, which he was driving, it was determined that he presented a falsified international green card. The motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, while the passenger A.T. (21) sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the Medical Center Strumica, and an on-site inspection was carried out.
On 01.05.2026 at 18:45 on a regional road near Gorobinska intersection, police deprived S.G. (25) from Sveti Nikole of liberty. During a traffic control, it was determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol (0.88 per mille) and behaved aggressively towards police officers. Charges will follow.
On 01.05.2026 between 07:00 and 09:00, police in Delchevo conducted a search at the home of J.P. (44) from Berovo, where a hunting rifle and ammunition were found and seized. Charges will follow.
