(48) from the Netherlands on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.” On August 24, 2026, at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entering the country, during an inspection and checks of a passenger vehicle, a “Citroën,” which he was driving, cannabis, medication and mushrooms were found and seized.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Gostivar filed a criminal complaint against D.G. (56) from the village of Dolna Banjica, Gostivar region, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “unauthorized manufacture, possession, mediation and trafficking in weapons and explosive substances.” On May 8, 2026, in the village of Dolna Banjica, police officers conducted a search of the suspect’s home, during which a rifle and a magazine containing bullets were found and seized.
The Prilep External Office for Internal Affairs (OVR Prilep) filed a criminal complaint against D.S. (35) from Prilep on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “unauthorized manufacture, possession, mediation and trafficking in weapons or explosive substances.” On April 28, 2026, police officers conducted a search of the suspect’s home, during which bullets of various calibers were found and seized.
On August 31/September 1, 2026, in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested S.R. (33), I.K. (37), P.Џ. (27) and S.S. (29), all from Skopje, as well as A.I. (31) from the village of Vizbegovo, Skopje region, because marijuana, a powdery substance and a brown substance were found and seized from them. Following the full documentation of the cases, appropriate reports will be filed against them.
On August 31, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., OVR Kičevo was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on the regional road Kičevo–Makedonski Brod, involving a passenger vehicle, a “Mazda,” driven by D.S. (75) from Kičevo, and a passenger vehicle, a “Hyundai,” with registration plates from Makedonski Brod, driven by A.S. (75) from the village of Preglovo, Kičevo region. The driver of the “Hyundai,” A.S., died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident, and a doctor from the Emergency Medical Service pronounced him dead. The driver of the “Mazda” sustained serious bodily injuries, while the passengers in the “Hyundai”—a 15-year-old minor from the village of Preglovo, Kičevo region, and A.A. (21) from the village of Plasnica, Kičevo region—sustained bodily injuries. Their injuries were confirmed at the Kičevo Medical Center and the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Complex in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by a public prosecutor and an OVR Kičevo inspection team.
On August 31, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., OVR Gostivar was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on the Mavrovo–Rostuše main road, involving a passenger vehicle, a “BMW,” with Strumica registration plates, driven by I.Џ. (31) from the village of Dorlombas, Strumica region, and a “MAN” truck with a trailer, with Vinica registration plates, driven by M.U. (30) from Delčevo. Both drivers sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Gostivar Emergency Center. An inspection was carried out by an OVR Gostivar inspection team.
On August 31, 2026, at 8:10 a.m., SVR Tetovo was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on Ljubotenska Street, involving a passenger vehicle, an “Opel,” with Tetovo registration plates, driven by I.I. (20) from the village of Brodec, Tetovo region, and a bicycle ridden by A.S. (75) from the village of Mala Rečica, Tetovo region. The cyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Tetovo Clinical Hospital. A public prosecutor was informed of the incident. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Tetovo inspection team.
On August 31, 2026, at 11:50 a.m., police officers from SVR Skopje arrested B.R. (47) from the village of Ljubin, Skopje region. During a traffic control on Boris Sarafov Street, police officers stopped a “Volkswagen Golf” passenger vehicle with Gostivar registration plates and established that B.R. was driving the vehicle without a driver’s license. On August 31, 2026, at 3:40 p.m., OVR Gevgelija was informed that at the intersection of Deko Kovačev Street and Mile Pecanov Street in Gevgelija, 47-year-old M.P. from the village of Bogorodica, Gevgelija region, lost control of a “Tomos” moped and left the roadway, sustaining serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Gevgelija General Hospital. An inspection was carried out by an OVR Gevgelija inspection team, which established that he had been driving the moped without possessing a driver’s license.
On August 31, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., in the village of Studeničani, Skopje region, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested a 15-year-old from the same village. During a traffic control, police officers stopped a “Volkswagen Golf” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates and established that the minor was driving it without a driver’s license. A public prosecutor for minors was informed of the incident, and following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
On August 31, 2026, at 4:46 a.m., OVR Prilep was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on the regional Prilep–Bitola road, in the area of the village of Topolčani, Prilep region, involving a passenger vehicle, a “SEAT,” with Prilep registration plates, driven by S.J. (19) from Prilep, and a passenger vehicle, a “Mercedes,” with Veles registration plates, driven by G.P. (48) from the village of Rosoman, Kavadarci region. The driver S.J. sustained serious bodily injuries, while the driver G.P. and his passengers D.P. (39) from the village of Korešnica, Negotino region, and T.T. (55) from the village of Ribartsi, Kavadarci region, sustained bodily injuries. Their injuries were confirmed at Prilep General Hospital. An inspection was carried out by an OVR Prilep inspection team.
On August 31, 2026, at 4:50 p.m., in the village of Jurumleri, Skopje region, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested I.V. (34) from the village of Trubarevo, Skopje region. During a traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates and established that I.V. was driving the vehicle without a driver’s license. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
On August 31, 2026, at around 12:00 noon, SVR Kumanovo was informed that on Leskovačka Street in Kumanovo, a “Peugeot” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates struck 79-year-old V.D. from Kumanovo, after which the driver left the scene with the vehicle. V.D. sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Kumanovo General Hospital. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Kumanovo inspection team, and measures are being taken to locate the driver and the vehicle and to fully clarify the case.
SVR Kumanovo filed a criminal complaint against S.S. (43) from the village of Gošince, Municipality of Lipkovo, owner and manager of a legal entity, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “falsification or destruction of business books,” and against A.B. (30) from Skopje, a junior associate in the Forestry and Hunting Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “negligent performance of official duties.”
The first suspect, on August 8, 2023, unlawfully obtained dispatch documents assigned to a legal entity from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy. The legal entity had previously been owned by S.S., but was deleted from the Central Registry on February 15, 2022, pursuant to the Law on Trade Companies. In 25 dispatch documents, S.S. entered false information, certified them with his signature and the stamp of the legal entity, and unlawfully used them as if they were genuine for the sale of firewood and timber assortments through the legal entity, thereby obtaining material benefit.
The second suspect, A.B., as an official responsible for issuing dispatch documents pursuant to an assignment dated July 6, 2022, failed to properly check the documentation submitted by the first suspect, S.S., and failed to establish that the legal entity had been liquidated, after which he assigned dispatch documents to him.
On August 31, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., on 1 May Boulevard in Bitola, police officers from SVR Bitola arrested M.I. (28) from Germany because a lump of an unidentified substance was found on him during a search. Following documentation of the incident, an appropriate report will be filed.
SVR Ohrid filed a criminal complaint against B.B. (47) from the Ohrid village of Peštani on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “usurpation of real estate.” He unlawfully occupied a cadastral plot owned by the state, namely a beach on Lake Ohrid under special protection by the state and UNESCO, and unlawfully hired workers for the purpose of constructing an improvised bridge to the neighboring beach.
On August 31, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., in Struga, police officers from the Criminal Police Unit of OVR Struga arrested P.M. (29) from Ohrid. Police officers found P.M. in a parked “Volkswagen Golf” with Ohrid registration plates while using a brown powdery substance. Following the full documentation of the incident, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On August 31, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the intersection of Sedek Kostoski Street and Ilindenska Street in Gostivar, police officers arrested B.B. (19) from Gostivar. During a traffic control, a motorcycle without registration plates, which he was driving, was stopped, and it was established that he was driving it without a driver’s license. The motorcycle was seized, and following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
SVR Ohrid filed a criminal complaint against Z.N. (60) from the village of Volino, Municipality of Debarca, and I.M. (43) from the village of Mešeišta, Municipality of Debarca, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “negligent performance of official duties.”
During 2024, the first suspect, in his capacity as Mayor of the Municipality of Debarca, by failing to exercise the required supervision and by negligently exercising his powers and duties, signed permits for the construction of photovoltaic panels for a legal entity from Skopje. He did so despite knowing that the legal entity did not possess all the necessary documentation issued by the competent authority. The permits were prepared by the second suspect, who was head of the Department of Urban Planning and Public Affairs in the Municipality of Debarca.
On August 31, 2026, at around 8:00 p.m., in a village in the Tetovo region, police officers from SVR Tetovo – Tearce Police Department arrested J.B. (51) from the village, acting on a previous report that at 7:40 p.m. he had physically assaulted his wife and her minor daughter in the village. During the police intervention, it was established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 1.85 per mille. During the intervention, he also behaved aggressively and failed to comply with police officers’ orders. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On August 31, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., on JNA Street in Gostivar, police officers arrested a 17-year-old from Gostivar. During a traffic control, a motorcycle with Gostivar registration plates was stopped, which he was driving, and it was established that he was driving it without a driver’s license. The motorcycle was seized and, following documentation, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On August 31, 2026, at 1:45 p.m., a 21-year-old woman from Bitola reported to SVR Bitola that she had been physically assaulted by her common-law partner, E.A. (24) from Prilep. Measures are being taken to clarify the incident.
On August 31, 2026, at 9:15 p.m., on Dimitar Vlahov Street, police officers from OVR Makedonski Brod arrested O.A. (41) from the village of Plasnica, Municipality of Makedonski Brod. During a traffic control, police officers stopped a “Mercedes” vehicle with Makedonski Brod registration plates, driven by O.A., and established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. On August 31, 2026, at 11:30 p.m., SVR Skopje was informed that at around 8:30 p.m., in a family home in the Karpoš area, Skopje, Џ.I. (22) from Skopje physically assaulted his 22-year-old wife and his 17-year-old brother and also damaged part of the household furnishings. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
Today (September 1, 2026), at 4:00 a.m., a 64-year-old woman from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that on August 31, 2026, at around 10:00 p.m., she had been physically assaulted by her husband, S.J. (63) from Skopje, in their family home in the Dračevo area. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On August 31, 2026, at 3:10 p.m., a 38-year-old woman from the Skopje region reported to SVR Skopje that, in the family home in the Municipality of Petrovec, her minor son had been physically assaulted by his father, D.S. (35) from the Skopje region, with whom they do not live together. According to the report, the father had previously physically assaulted his minor son, but these incidents had not been reported until now. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On August 31, 2026, at 11:50 p.m., G.H. (52) from Skopje reported that while performing his work duties at a public parking facility in the Centar area, he was physically assaulted by a male individual. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On September 1, 2026, at 12:30 a.m., in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje detained D.P. (36) from Skopje, acting on a previous report that at around midnight, in the Centar area, he had physically assaulted his 66-year-old father. On August 31, 2026, in a village in the Skopje region, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested D.T. (42) from the same village, acting on a previous report that, following a brief argument and disturbed family relations, he had physically assaulted his 36-year-old brother using a hard object. On August 31, 2026, at 5:15 a.m., in Skopje, police officers arrested M.A. (35), M.T. (52) and D.T. (30), all from Skopje, because in the Municipality of Aerodrom in Skopje, following a previous argument, they disturbed public order and peace through a physical altercation and behaved aggressively toward police officers who were carrying out official duties. On August 31, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested B.L. (29) from Skopje, acting on a previous report by his 52-year-old mother that he had physically assaulted her in the family home. On August 31, 2026, SVR Skopje was informed that between 6:30 p.m. on August 29, 2026, and 6:30 a.m. on August 30, 2026, tools and other items were stolen from a building under construction in the Centar area of Skopje, owned by T.S. According to the report, the incident may be connected to threats he had been receiving over the past two years. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
Today (September 1, 2026), at 5:15 a.m., SVR Skopje was informed that the entrance door of an apartment in a residential building in the Kisela Voda area had been set on fire. The apartment is owned by H.S. (57) from Skopje. No persons were injured, and following measures taken and due to suspicion that he had committed the act, D.T. (50) from Skopje was arrested.
