On 28.05.2026 at 23:00, it was reported to SVR Skopje that a traffic accident occurred on “34” Street in the Ilinden settlement involving a passenger vehicle “BMW” with Skopje license plates driven by A.S. (23) and a moped driven by P.S. (20), both from the Ilinden settlement. The moped driver sustained serious bodily injuries, diagnosed at the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Complex. An on-site inspection was carried out by an SVR Skopje investigative team.


On 28.05.2026 at around 21:10, it was reported to SVR Kumanovo that a traffic accident occurred on the Kumanovo–Skopje regional road in the village of Čerkezi, Kumanovo region, involving a passenger vehicle “Mercedes” with Kumanovo license plates driven by F.S. (24) from Kumanovo and an electric scooter driven by a 13-year-old minor from the village of Čerkezi. After the accident, the minor was transported to the General Hospital in Kumanovo, where a doctor pronounced death. At 21:20, the driver was deprived of liberty at the Kumanovo Police Station. An on-site inspection was carried out by the Public Prosecutor and an SVR Kumanovo investigative team.


On 28.05.2026 at 22:45, it was reported to the Gevgelija Police Station that on “Gevgelija” Boulevard, a moped with Gevgelija license plates, driven by a 16-year-old minor from Gevgelija, collided with a pedestrian V.S. (57) from Gevgelija. The pedestrian and a 17-year-old passenger from the village of Moin, Gevgelija region, sustained serious bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the Gevgelija Medical Center, and an on-site inspection was carried out by an OVR Gevgelija team.


On 28.05.2026, police officers from SVR Tetovo deprived two persons aged 58 and 37 of their liberty, both from villages in the Tetovo area. Earlier that day at 16:45, a 62-year-old person from a Tetovo village reported a criminal offense of “sexual harassment” with elements of rape committed against her minor granddaughter by the 58-year-old person. According to the report, the incident occurred in December 2024, when the then 15-year-old minor was returning from Tetovo by van driven by the suspect, during which he used physical force and committed rape against her. After some time, the minor told her mother, aged 37, who was in a relationship with the 58-year-old suspect, but she did not report the incident. The persons are being held at a police station, and the Public Prosecutor has been informed. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate filing will be submitted.


On 29.05.2026 at 00:30, police officers from SVR Skopje – Gazi Baba Police Station deprived S.E. (45) from the Skopje region of liberty after a prior report that he physically attacked his minor son. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.


On 28.05.2025 at around 19:30, a 35-year-old woman reported to SVR Skopje that in the area of Šuto Orizari she was physically attacked by her extramarital partner E.M. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.


On 28.05.2026 at 20:30, a 41-year-old woman reported to SVR Skopje that she was psychologically harassed and threatened by her former extramarital partner M.A. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.


On 28.05.2026 at 22:15, E.S. (33) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that around 21:50 in the Čair area, her minor son was physically attacked by two minors on a bus. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.


On 28.05.2026 at around 10:50, G.Š. (63) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that in the yard of a house in the Butel area, a stray bullet damaged the windshield of his “SEAT” vehicle with Skopje license plates. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.


SVR Kumanovo filed criminal charges against B.B. (58), a legal entity, and L.T. (61), all from Kumanovo, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “illegal construction” and “abuse of official position and authority.” The first suspect, as manager of the second legal entity, acting as investor and organizer of construction works, during 2022, with a building permit issued in the name of his father and another person, carried out construction works of the second category and built a warehouse contrary to the main project, making changes during construction and adding another floor to the warehouse. The third suspect, acting as a construction inspector in the inspection sector of the Kumanovo municipality, failed to take actions she was obliged to take.


The Kumanovo Police Department filed criminal charges against I.S. (50) and a legal entity from Kumanovo on suspicion of the criminal offense of “usurpation of real estate.” Between 2021 and 2025, on part of three cadastral parcels registered as state-owned property with a total area of 518 square meters, the first suspect, as owner and manager of the legal entity, acting as investor, unlawfully occupied state-owned land of public use and illegally constructed retaining walls, a canopy, an auxiliary structure, and stairs, thereby preventing citizens from using the area of the Republic of North Macedonia. They did not obtain the necessary technical documentation and intended to use the structures for hospitality activities, thereby damaging the state budget.


The Struga Police Department filed criminal charges against G.M. (53) from the village of Kalista, Struga region, for the criminal offense of “causing general danger” under Article 288 of the Criminal Code. On 09.04.2026, on his own land located next to the Struga–Kalista regional road, he burned dry grass and low vegetation he had previously collected. The fire then spread to a nearby poplar plantation along the road. No injuries were reported.
