Today (April 14, 2026), police officers from the Prevention Department and the Public Security Bureau at the Regional Police Station in Veles conducted preventive activities regarding road safety at several locations in Veles. In direct communication, drivers were reminded of their obligation to adjust their speed according to traffic signals and road conditions, as well as the risks they take if they do not adhere to traffic rules and regulations, primarily for their own safety, but also for the safety of other road users. Police officers from the Public Security Bureau in Kochani also carried out preventive activities regarding road safety in Kochani, primarily focusing on the necessity of using seat belts, as well as the harmful consequences if drivers use mobile phones while operating a vehicle. These activities aim to raise the level of traffic culture and, above all, to increase awareness among drivers and reduce the number of traffic accidents. As part of the preventive activity, printed educational materials were distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
The Prevention Department at the Regional Police Station in Kumanovo, in cooperation with the Municipal Council for Prevention in Kumanovo, organized a joint gathering for children from primary schools in Kumanovo on the occasion of Easter.
