Preventive activities by the Skopje and Štip Police Departments for safe traffic and the prevention of the use of pyrotechnic materials

Today (December 12, 2025) on Boulevard "Alexander the Great" in Skopje, police officers from the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police, in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety, conducted preventive-educational activities aimed at drivers with messages like "Use Winter Equipment," "Buckle Up," "Don't Talk on Your Phone While Driving," and "Drive Safely with a Technically Sound Vehicle." Educational materials in the form of leaflets containing practical advice for safe participation in traffic were distributed. In the territory of the Štip Police Department, in Berovo, police officers carried out preventive activities aimed at drivers, advising them not to use mobile phones while driving, not to operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, along with a series of other tips for safe participation in traffic.

Also today, at the "Mite Bogojevski" Primary School in Resen, the "Dimitar Vlahov" Primary School in Ljubojno, the "Slavejko Arsov" Primary School in Podmochani, the "Kole Nehten" Secondary School in Štip, and the "Blaže Koneski" Primary School in Veles, police officers from the Bitola, Štip, and Veles Police Departments held lectures to inform students about the health risks associated with the use of pyrotechnic materials. 

They were also made aware of the legal sanctions for the illegal sale and use of pyrotechnic materials. The goal of the educational lectures is to raise awareness among children about the dangers of using pyrotechnic materials.
