Today (10 December 2025), at the primary school “Mustafa Kemal Atatürk” in the municipality of Plasnica, police officers from the Macedonski Brod Police Unit within SIA Bitola held a forum with students, focusing on the risks and consequences of the use of pyrotechnic devices, especially in the period ahead of the holidays. The students were also informed about the legal provisions that sanction the use and sale of pyrotechnic devices.
A lecture on the same topic was also delivered by police officers from the Delchevo Police Station within SIA Shtip at the primary school “Kliment Ohridski” in Delchevo. The discussion also covered ways to recognize and prevent peer violence, as well as the consequences of this phenomenon.
In the territory of SIA Shtip, in Probishtip and Kochani, preventive activities for road safety were also carried out. Through direct communication with drivers, emphasis was placed on the need for vehicles participating in traffic to be technically roadworthy, on refraining from driving under the influence of alcohol, and on respecting a range of other traffic rules and regulations in order to ensure safe participation in traffic. Pedestrians were reminded that they must not use mobile phones while crossing the street.
Police officers from the Prevention Department within SIA Veles carried out preventive and educational activities aimed at protection against property crimes, primarily thefts and frauds. Through direct communication with citizens, especially the elderly population, police officers provided useful advice on how to protect themselves and their homes from thefts, burglaries and frauds, and stressed the importance of reporting any suspicious case to the police.
At the premises of the Sector for Internal Affairs Strumica, on the occasion of marking 9 December – Prevention Day, a visit was organized for children of different ages. They were welcomed by the Head of SIA Strumica and several police officers, who introduced them to their work, presented part of the equipment used in the performance of official duties, and gave them a tour of the official premises. The children also attended a video presentation of some of the preventive activities carried out so far by the Prevention Department within SIA Strumica, as well as a presentation of an electronic book containing works that participated in the competition organized on the occasion of Police Day – 7 May.
