On 24 October 2026, the Prevention Unit at the Kumanovo Police Department, in cooperation with the Kumanovo Municipal Prevention Council, organised and held a sports event – “Athletics Games 2026”. Pupils from all primary schools in the city took part in the event and competed in several athletics disciplines, including the 60-metre sprint, hurdle running, long jump, relay races and others.
The main objective of this event was to encourage socialising and interaction among children from different schools and backgrounds, as well as to encourage pupils to spend their free time participating in sports and sporting activities, thereby helping to prevent violence and deviant behaviour among children.
