E-registration of residence

E-registration of residence

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Foreigners, legal and natural persons who provide paid accommodation services to foreigners are obliged to report the stay of the foreigner to the Ministry of Internal Affairs within 12 hours from the time the service was provided. Other persons with whom foreigners are staying are obliged to report the stay of the foreigner within 48 hours from the time of arrival of the foreigner at the police station responsible for the address of residence. To simplify the procedure—without limiting the possibility to report in person at the relevant police station—the Ministry of Internal Affairs also allows legal, natural, and other persons to electronically report the residence of foreigners or citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia via the official website, by completing the provided application.

The first step in completing the application is selecting the Police Station responsible for the area where the foreign or domestic individual will be residing.

Filling in all marked fields is mandatory.

After submitting the application, a message saying "your application has been submitted" will be sent to the email address from which it was sent.

Note: Any misuse of the application is punishable by law.

Furthermore, regarding natural persons who report the stay of foreigners or domestic persons, this application may be used; however, they are still required, within the legal deadline of 48 hours, to report the stay to the Police Station responsible for such records, where they will receive an appropriate certified confirmation of the reported stay.
