During the same period, police officers detained 12 drivers for committing the criminal offense of "reckless driving" under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.
Among them, nine were driving without a valid driver's license, including: D.D. (26) from Skopje, M.B. (29) from the village of Crn Vrv, Skopje region, M.P. (18) from the village of Mrševci, Skopje region, a 15-year-old from the village of Studeničani, Skopje region, N.B. (48) from Bitola, A.A. (44) from Bitola, I.K. (51) from the village of Viničani, Municipality of Gradsko, a 16-year-old from Veles, and Lj.M. (61) from the village of Stamer, Delčevo region.
B.B. (60) from the village of Zajas, Kičevo region, and M.M. (37) from Veles were driving under an active ban and while intoxicated. Meanwhile, Lj.Đ. (48) from the village of Razlovci, Delčevo region, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Once all cases are fully documented, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, to refrain from driving without a valid driver's license, or if they have been issued a ban on driving, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and together we can contribute to safer roads.
