In the month of May, a total of 28,494 traffic violations were recorded through the "Safe City" system, with a 7.9 percent decrease in violations for operating an unregistered vehicle compared to April

 

From May 1, 2026, to May 31, 2026, the "Safe City" system registered a total of 28,494 violations in the areas of cities and corridors where cameras are installed.

Of the total number of recorded violations, the majority were for operating a vehicle at a speed exceeding the limit, totaling 27,360. There were 833 violations for operating a vehicle with an expired traffic permit and 301 violations for running a red light. 

Additionally, a total of 781 measures prohibiting vehicle operation were issued. Of these, 295 were for running a red light, and 486 were for speeding, including 347 for exceeding 80 km/h in populated areas, 86 for exceeding 10 km/h over the vehicle's own limit, and 83 for exceeding 170 km/h in unpopulated areas.
