Throughout the day, police officers across the entire territory of the state detained 11 drivers, including one in Štip and one in Demir Kapija for driving under the influence of alcohol, two in Bitola for operating a vehicle without a driver's license, and seven drivers (two in Veles and one each in Tetovo, Kumanovo, Sveti Nikole, Bitola, and Resen) for driving despite having a prohibition on operating a motor vehicle of category B. The driver in Demir Kapija had previously threatened his wife and attacked his father with a hard object. The individuals were taken to the police station, and following the instructions of the public prosecutor, the vehicles were confiscated. After complete documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We urge all participants in traffic to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate a vehicle without having passed the driving test, or if they have been issued a prohibition on driving, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and to collectively contribute to safer traffic.
