On 4 October 2026 (Sunday), starting at 08:00, the “Wizz Air Skopje Marathon 2026”, organized by the Skopje Sports Union, will take place along the following routes:
The 5 km race route will start on “11 Oktomvri” Street (near the Green Market), continue straight along “11 Oktomvri” Street, turn left onto “Krushevska Republika” Boulevard, then right onto “3-ta Makedonska Brigada” Boulevard, make a U-turn at the intersection of “3-ta Makedonska Brigada” Boulevard and “Kosta Novaković” Street, and return along the same route to the finish line at Macedonia Square on “11 Oktomvri” Street.
The marathon, half-marathon and relay race route (participants in the relay race and marathon will complete the specified route twice) will start in front of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia on “11 Oktomvri” Street, continue straight towards “Rekord”, along “Dimitrie Chupovski” Street, then straight along “Mitropolit Teodosij Gologanov” Street and “Vojvoda Vasil Chakalarov” Street, up to the intersection with “Angel Dinev” Street, where participants will make a U-turn and return along the same route to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia on “11 Oktomvri” Street.
They will then continue straight along “11 Oktomvri” Street, turn left onto “Krushevska Republika” Boulevard, right onto “3-ta Makedonska Brigada” Boulevard, left onto “Vasko Karangelevski” Street, and right onto “Jane Sandanski” Boulevard, continuing to the intersection with “Srbija” Boulevard, where they will make a U-turn and return in the same traffic lane along “Jane Sandanski” Boulevard to the intersection with “Kuzman Josifovski Pitu” Boulevard. There, they will make another U-turn and continue back in the same traffic lane to the intersection with “Vasko Karangelevski” Street, turn right onto “Vasko Karangelevski” Street, right onto “3-ta Makedonska Brigada” Boulevard, left onto “Krushevska Republika” Boulevard, and right onto “11 Oktomvri” Street to the finish line at Macedonia Square.
For these reasons, the Road Traffic Safety Unit will implement measures for a special traffic regime, with traffic being redirected to surrounding roads.
The Ministry of Interior appeals to citizens to comply with the instructions issued by police officers on the roads along which the event will take place.
