Today (02.05.2026), in the period from 12:00 to 20:00 in Skopje, the Road Traffic Safety Department within SVR Skopje carried out an intensified action control to sanction violations committed by drivers of mopeds, tricycles, quadricycles, and motorcycles, during which 113 drivers were sanctioned.
Of these, four drivers were sanctioned for operating a motorcycle without the appropriate category, 17 sanctions were issued to drivers operating mopeds without a driving certificate, and 45 measures were issued to drivers not wearing protective helmets. Three measures were issued for unregistered motorcycles, three sanctions for not carrying a traffic permit, two sanctions for driving on inappropriate surfaces, two measures for failing to stop at a given sign, and 37 measures for other violations.
During the action control, one motorcyclist was detained under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for reckless driving.
Traffic controls will continue in the coming days. All road users are urged to respect traffic rules and regulations and contribute to safer roads.
