Over the past 24 hours, across the entire territory of the country, police officers deprived of liberty 14 drivers for reckless driving. Of these, eight were operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license, two were driving under the influence of alcohol, two were driving at speeds significantly exceeding the permitted limit, and one was driving despite an active driving ban, while another was driving in the opposite direction.
Four drivers in Skopje, two in Gostivar, and one each in Tetovo and Bitola were found driving without a license.
One driver each in Tetovo and Kumanovo was recorded driving at a speed far above the permitted limit. One driver each in Tetovo and Strumica was driving under the influence of alcohol, while one driver in Resen was driving despite an active ban, and one driver in Veles was driving in the opposite direction.
After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate vehicles without a valid driver’s license, not to drive if a driving ban has been imposed, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol, so that together we can contribute to safer roads.
