From September 14 to 19, 2026, two members of the Ministry of Interior, members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit “Tiger”, are participating in the “Štit Domovine” international competition in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia.
After successfully completing the two-day qualifications for the main race, the members of the “Tiger” Special Anti-Terrorist Unit took part in the 28-kilometre main race, featuring 927 metres of elevation gain. During the race, participants had to overcome a series of complex obstacles requiring a high level of physical, psychological and tactical preparedness.
In the foreign competitors category, the members of the “Tiger” Special Anti-Terrorist Unit achieved 4th and 5th place, out of a total of nine competitors, competing against representatives from Austria, Slovenia and Hungary, as well as members of the Croatian Army.
In the overall standings, out of a total of 86 competitors, the members of the “Tiger” Special Anti-Terrorist Unit achieved 23rd and 24th place.
Participation in such international competitions provides an opportunity to assess and further improve the physical, psychological and tactical preparedness of unit members, as well as to exchange experiences with members of security forces from other countries.
