On March 24, 2026, at 5:40 PM in Valandovo, police officers from the S.W.R. Strumica - O.V.R. Valandovo detained a 72-year-old resident of Valandovo, acting on a prior report that around 4:00 PM he physically assaulted his 68-year-old wife in their family home, causing injuries to her body. During the execution of official duties, the individual behaved aggressively towards the police officers, attacking one of them. The individual has been held at the police station, and later, with his consent, a search was conducted at his home, where three handguns, one hunting rifle, 45 bullets, and seven hunting cartridges were found and seized, which he possessed illegally. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Gevgelija has been informed about the incident, and after documenting the event, an appropriate report will be filed against the individual.
