Today (October 15, 2026) at 4:20 PM, on the Gostivar – Tetovo highway, police officers from the Mobile Traffic Safety Unit of the Traffic Department, with the assistance of a special police vehicle – interceptor, registered a Yamaha motorcycle with Gostivar license plates, which was moving at a speed of 188 kilometers per hour in a section where the maximum allowed speed is 80 kilometers per hour.
The driver, V.B. (27) from Gostivar, has been detained for committing the criminal offense of "reckless driving of a motor vehicle" under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code. All appropriate measures have been taken, and appropriate proceedings will follow against him in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to enhance traffic controls with special police vehicles – interceptors throughout the entire country, aiming to detect and sanction negligent drivers, increase road safety, and protect all participants in traffic.
