On January 27, 2026, the Department for the Suppression of Organized and Serious Crime at the Ministry of Internal Affairs submitted a criminal report to the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and Corruption against M.Z. (37), I.B. (61), and G.B. (59), all from Skopje, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors" under Article 215, paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.Specifically, on January 26, 2026, M.Z. purchased a motor vehicle, an "Opel Combo," with Swiss license plates from an individual in Struga, in which he and I.B. concealed narcotic drugs, marijuana, while contacting G.B. to arrange for the vehicle to be towed from Struga to Skopje for a fee of 200 euros, as it was not in working condition.
Upon arriving in Skopje, the first defendant M.Z. along with the second defendant I.B. asked the third defendant G.B. to continue driving to Sveti Nikole for a sum of 40 euros, behind a "Mercedes" vehicle in which they were being transported. On a regional road near Sveti Nikole, police officers, acting on prior information that a larger quantity of drugs would be transported, stopped the cargo vehicle "Iveco" that was towing the "Opel Combo," and upon inspecting the rear bench and the trunk of the "Opel," they found eight bags containing 50 packages of marijuana. After forensic examination at the Department for Forensic Testing at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was determined that the total amount was 150 kilograms of marijuana.
