The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs the public that after taking operational measures and activities, police officers from the Tetovo Police Department today (March 26, 2026) detained three minors involved in the cases of false bomb threats in some primary and secondary schools in Tetovo. In the previous period, two more individuals were detained, one of whom is a minor, also involved in the cases of false bomb threats. Appropriate charges will be filed against all five individuals involved with the competent Prosecutor's Office, in accordance with the Criminal Code.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges parents to urgently take appropriate measures to monitor their children. Maximum attention and prevention are required to prevent any further occurrences of such incidents that disturb the public and undermine the security system.
The Tetovo Police Department will not tolerate any attempts to jeopardize the safety of students and citizens. In the event of future such actions, the strictest legal measures will be taken against the perpetrators, as well as against the parents for neglecting their supervisory duties.
Educational and social measures will be initiated in close cooperation with educational institutions and Social Work Centers.
