During the past 24 hours across the entire territory of the country, police officers deprived 16 drivers of their liberty for reckless driving. Of these, 11 were driving without a valid driving license, two were driving despite having an active driving ban, and three were driving under the influence of alcohol.
In Skopje, five persons were driving without a license, while one each was recorded in the Gostivar area, Makedonski Brod, Gradsko, Rosoman, Veles, and Chashka. One person each in Kavadarci and Demir Hisar was driving despite having an active ban. Meanwhile, one driver each in Negotino, Sveti Nikole, and at the Blato border crossing was driving under the influence of alcohol.
After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid driving license, not to drive if a ban has been imposed, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol. Together, we can contribute to safer traffic.
