On December 20, 2025, at 02:10 a.m., on “Blagoj Gjorev” Street in Veles, police officers from the Veles Sector for Internal Affairs arrested M.N. (49) from Veles.
During a traffic control, a passenger vehicle “Renault” with Skopje license plates, driven by M.N., was stopped. After taking measures, it was established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.62 per mille of alcohol measured in his blood.
He was taken to a police station, where he physically assaulted a police officer. A public prosecutor was notified, and after the incident is fully documented, charges will be filed against him under Articles 297-a and 383 of the Criminal Code for “reckless driving of a motor vehicle” and “assault on an official while performing security duties.”
