Montenegrin citizen arrested for driving at 185 km/h in a 100 km/h zone

On 14 October 2026, at 14:25, at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, at the exit from the country, police officers arrested M.N. (34) from Montenegro after a check of a passenger vehicle, a BMW with Montenegrin license plates, which he was driving. Through the “Safe City” system, it was established that he had been recorded as a perpetrator of a criminal offence under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code – “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”

Specifically, earlier, on the Skopje–Tabanovce Border Crossing motorway, near the Deljadrovci interchange, he had driven the vehicle at a speed of 185 km/h in an area where the maximum permitted speed is 100 km/h.

He was taken to a police station, and following the full documentation of the case, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against him.
