Following reports in some media that on October 7, 2026, in the area of Skopje, two individuals were physically assaulted by police officers during their intervention, during which, according to their claims, their vehicle was also damaged, the Minister of Internal Affairs has instructed the Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations, and Professional Standards to investigate the case.
The Department is taking measures and actions to fully ascertain the factual situation and circumstances of the incident, as well as to determine any potential responsibility of the involved police officers.
Once the factual situation is established, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with legal regulations, and the public will be promptly informed.
