Police officers from the Criminal Police Department of the Ohrid Police Sector arrested a 37-year-old Ohrid resident, identified by the initials D.A., on June 17, 2026.
During a court-authorized search of his home, officers discovered and seized a revolver, two rifles, three hand grenades, 22 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, and two plastic bags containing gunpowder, which he was allegedly possessing illegally.
According to the Ministry of Interior, following the full documentation of the case, criminal charges will be filed against the suspect under Article 396 of the Criminal Code for “unauthorized manufacturing, possession, mediation, and trafficking of weapons or explosive materials.”
