Today (June 4, 2026), the Director of the Bureau for Public Safety, Aleksandar Janev, was present at the headquarters of the Rapid Deployment Unit for the concluding demonstration exercises of the newly selected police officers who, after successfully completing a six-month training program, will become part of this elite and highly specialized unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Through a series of tactical demonstration activities, the candidates showcased the knowledge, skills, and abilities they had acquired, demonstrating a high level of physical fitness, professionalism, and training to carry out the most complex security tasks.
Director Janev emphasized that the results presented serve as a testament to the quality of the selection and training process, as well as the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in creating a skilled, disciplined, and motivated police force ready to respond to all security challenges.
He extended his congratulations to the new members of the Rapid Deployment Unit, to their instructors, and to the unit's leadership, wishing them a successful and professional service in the interest of the safety of citizens and the state.
With the induction of the new generation of members, the Rapid Deployment Unit further strengthens its operational capabilities and continues to fulfill its mission as one of the most prepared and professional units within the Macedonian police.
