The Director of the Bureau for Public Safety, Aleksandar Janev, visited the police officers participating in specialized training for online crime

Today (February 5), Director Aleksandar Janev met with colleagues from the departments working on computer investigations and crimes committed through computer systems within the Bureau for Public Safety, who are taking part in specialized training organized by Interpol and the international organization ICMEC (International Center for Missing and Exploited Children) at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Training Center.

This is an exceptionally sensitive and responsible area of work, where the professionalism, knowledge, and dedication of police officers are essential for the effective protection of children from sexual exploitation and abuse in the online space.

The training focuses on the application of advanced tools for the analysis and identification of online materials related to such criminal acts, as well as on strengthening the psychological support for police officers who face the weight of this type of crime on a daily basis.

As an institution, the Bureau for Public Safety remains firmly committed to the continuous development of human and technical capacities, as well as to the care for the mental stability, safety, and well-being of police officers. Support for the individuals carrying out this complex and responsible task is a prerequisite for successfully combating computer crime and ensuring lasting protection for children and society as a whole.
