On 13 June 2026 at 11:10 a.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department (SVR Skopje) that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Vasko Karangeleski Street and Mateja Matevski Street in Skopje between an Opel Meriva passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by B.M. (33), and a motorcycle with Skopje registration plates, driven by G.S. (57), both from Skopje. The motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the St. Naum Ohridski General Hospital in Skopje. An on-site investigation was carried out by an investigation team from SVR Skopje.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Probishtip filed criminal charges against G.Ѓ. (47) from the Probishtip area on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering security.” On 21 May 2026, the suspect behaved aggressively both by telephone and in person at the Police Department in Probishtip (OVR Probishtip) and made threats against a police officer.
On 13 June 2026 at 3:05 p.m., it was reported to the Police Department in Struga (OVR Struga) that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Gjuro Salaj Street and Dimche Kovacheski Street in Struga between a Renault passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by V.A.Š. (22) from Poland, and a BMW motorcycle with Tetovo registration plates, driven by V.K. (46) from Struga. The motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the St. Erasmus Special Hospital in Ohrid. A public prosecutor was notified, and an investigation was conducted by an OVR Struga investigation team.
The Tetovo Police Department (SVR Tetovo) filed criminal charges against R.Z. (26) from Tetovo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “robbery theft.” On 8 June 2026 at approximately 2:00 a.m., in a sports betting shop in Tetovo, the suspect threatened an employee with a sharp object and stole money from the cash register. The same day, at 11:30 a.m., he was arrested at Skopje International Airport Border Crossing while attempting to leave the country.
On 13 June 2026 at 5:20 a.m., on the Kumanovo–Skopje highway near the village of Romanovce, police officers from the Mobile Unit for Compensatory Measures within the Department for Border Affairs and Migration arrested M.M. (28) from Kosovo. During an inspection of a bus with Turkish license plates in which he was traveling, several pieces of textile merchandise from various brands were found in his luggage, for which he did not possess the required documentation. He was handed over to SVR Kumanovo, and after the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
On 13 June 2026 at 12:30 p.m., K.S. (80) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 8:00 a.m. in the Centar municipality area, a woman used physical force to take money from his bag and then fled the scene. Measures are being taken to solve the case.
On 13 June 2026 at 7:15 p.m. in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested M.A. (31) from Skopje following a previous report that at around 7:00 p.m., in the yard of a family house, he had physically assaulted a two-year-old child. After the case is fully documented, appropriate legal action will follow.
On 14 June 2026 at 3:35 a.m. in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested M.P. (45) from Skopje because at approximately 3:15 a.m. she behaved aggressively toward police officers, first by telephone and later at the Gjorche Petrov Police Station, while they were carrying out official duties. After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 13 June 2026 at 6:00 p.m., police officers from SVR Veles conducted an official interview with A.S. (37) from the village of Dolno Karaslari, Veles region, because while working with a circular saw on his field in the area of Karaslari village, he caused sparks that started a fire. The fire burned an orchard and beehive boxes belonging to V.S. (45) from Veles. No one was injured. The fire was extinguished by the Veles Territorial Firefighting Unit. An investigation was conducted by SVR Veles, a public prosecutor was notified, and after the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against A.S.
During the night of 14 June 2026 in Bogdanci, police officers from SVR Strumica – OVR Gevgelija arrested M.I. (18) from the village of Vasilevo, Strumica region. While driving a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Strumica registration plates, he failed to stop when signaled by police patrols and continued driving at high speed. In Bogdanci, he stopped the vehicle and fled, and after being caught, he physically assaulted police officers. He was detained at the Gevgelija Police Station, and a public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was informed. After the case is documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
During the night of 14 June 2026 at 1:20 a.m., M.B. (19) from Radovish was detained at the Radovish Police Station. At approximately 1:10 a.m., near a hospitality establishment in Radovish, he behaved aggressively toward police officers who were performing official duties. After the case is documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 13 June 2026 at 8:22 a.m., it was reported to SVR Shtip that the body of a deceased male was found on an unclassified road between the villages of Jastrebnik and Babishte, in an inaccessible area known as “Blaga Jabuka.” Following investigative measures and an on-site inspection, it was determined that the deceased was J.D. (75) from Kochani, who had been staying in Jastrebnik village and whose grandson had reported him missing on 1 June 2026 after he had left home. The body was recovered by the Kochani Territorial Firefighting Unit and the Osogovo Volunteer Mountain Rescue Service. By order of a public prosecutor, the body was sent for an autopsy.
