On 11 June 2026 at 1:30 p.m., it was reported to the Kavadarci Department of Internal Affairs that a traffic accident had occurred on the Gradsko–Prilep expressway, after the turnoff for Kavadarci, involving a Škoda Octavia with Prilep registration plates, driven by Ž.R. (51) from Prilep, and a Volkswagen Golf with Prilep registration plates, driven by T.M. (39) from Prilep. The driver of the Škoda and B.B. (42) from Prilep, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. Their deaths were confirmed by a doctor from the Kavadarci Emergency Medical Service. The driver of the Golf sustained serious bodily injuries, which were diagnosed at Kavadarci General Hospital, and was transferred to the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex in Skopje. An inspection of the scene was carried out by a public prosecutor in cooperation with an investigative team from the Kavadarci Department of Internal Affairs. Traffic was restored to normal at 5:00 p.m.
The Štip Police Department filed criminal charges against D.V. (47) from Vinica on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “failure to comply with a court decision” and “endangering security.”
On 4 June 2026, the suspect went to the home of his wife's parents in Štip. After she refused to speak with him, he made threats against his wife and her parents, thereby violating a court order issued by the Basic Court in Štip. The order imposed three prohibitions: a ban on threatening to commit domestic violence, a ban on harassing, disturbing, calling, contacting, or otherwise communicating with the victim directly or indirectly, and a ban on approaching within 100 meters of her residence.
On 11 June 2026 at 12:25 p.m., it was reported to the Berovo Department of Internal Affairs that on the Berovo–Delčevo regional road, near a location known as “Turski Andak,” a 16-year-old from the village of Razlovci, Delčevo area, lost control of a moped with Delčevo registration plates and fell onto the roadway.
The minor sustained serious bodily injuries, diagnosed at the Štip Clinical Hospital. An investigative team from the Berovo Department of Internal Affairs conducted an inspection.
On 11 June 2026 at around 1:00 p.m. on Bregalnička Street in Štip, police officers from the Štip Police Department arrested Ќ.I. (25) from Skopje.
During a traffic stop, officers stopped an Audi with Skopje registration plates driven by him and established that he was operating the vehicle without having previously passed a driving test. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
Between 9:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. on 11 June 2026, at the Deve Bair Border Crossing, police officers arrested H.H. (47) and M.D. (47), both citizens of the Republic of Turkey.
During passport and border checks, it was determined that H.H., who arrived driving a MAN truck with a semi-trailer bearing Turkish registration plates, and M.D., who arrived driving a Renault truck with a semi-trailer bearing Turkish registration plates, presented forged Green Cards (international vehicle insurance certificates) for their vehicles and trailers.
They were handed over to officers from the Kriva Palanka Department of Internal Affairs, and appropriate charges will be filed after the cases are fully documented.
On 11 June 2026 at 8:50 p.m. on a main road in Kičevo, police officers arrested M.N. (28) from Kičevo.
During a traffic inspection, officers stopped a moped with Kičevo registration plates and established that M.N. was operating it without having obtained the legal right to drive. By order of a public prosecutor, the moped was confiscated. After the case is fully documented, criminal charges will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, “reckless operation of a motor vehicle.”
The Debar Department of Internal Affairs filed criminal charges against V.D. (47) and N.D. (51), both from the village of Golem Papradnik, Municipality of Centar Župa, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “illegal fishing.”
During an inspection carried out on 20 May 2026, police officers found the suspects using prohibited fishing equipment—underwater fishing nets. They had set up a fishing net approximately 30 meters long in Lake Debar and were conducting illegal fishing activities. The nets and the illegally caught fish were confiscated.
On 11 June 2026 at 11:45 p.m. on Balkanska Street in Štip, police officers arrested A.P. (43) from Štip because at around 10:15 p.m. he had threatened R.J. (49) from Štip with a sharp object, after which he threw a hard object at him and caused injuries.
After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
On 11 June 2026 at 5:10 p.m. in Debar, police officers arrested E.K. (22) from Debar.
During a traffic control on Yusuf Grvala Street, officers stopped a Smart passenger vehicle with Debar registration plates driven by E.K. and determined that he was driving without having obtained a driver's license. By order of a public prosecutor, the vehicle was confiscated. After the case is fully documented, criminal charges will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, “reckless operation of a motor vehicle.”
The Ohrid Police Department filed criminal charges against R.Ǵ. (43) from the village of Leskoec, Ohrid area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “illegal construction” and “usurpation of real estate.”
On a state-owned cadastral parcel in the village of Trpejca, the suspect unlawfully built a family house without a construction permit issued by the competent authority.
On 12 June 2026 at 1:25 a.m. in the village of Brvenica, Tetovo area, police officers arrested D.K. (56) from Brvenica and G.S. (26) from the village of Volkovija.
Under the influence of alcohol, they disturbed public order and peace by engaging in a physical altercation with each other. Appropriate charges will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 11 June 2026 at around 5:30 p.m. on Janko Gligorov Street in Sveti Nikole, police officers detained D.N. (37) because, while under the influence of alcohol, he disturbed public order and peace through aggressive behavior.
After being taken to the police station, he continued acting aggressively, threatened police officers, and attempted to escape but was prevented and formally arrested. He remains in police custody, and an appropriate report will be filed after the case is fully documented.
The Strumica Police Department – Radoviš Unit filed criminal charges with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Radoviš against Ǵ.N. (43) and D.N. (69), both from the village of Rakitec, Municipality of Konče, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “forest devastation” under Article 226 of the Criminal Code.
On 16 April 2026 at approximately 2:30 p.m., at a location known as “Gorici” in the area of Rakitec, they unlawfully cut down 261 oak trees from a cadastral parcel owned by the public enterprise National Forests – Forestry Unit “Smrdešnik” without authorization from the competent authority.
The damage caused to National Forests amounted to 304,920 denars.
On 11 June 2026 at 11:03 p.m. on Angel Mišev Street in Veles, police officers arrested T.G. (48) from Veles.
During a traffic stop, officers stopped a Peugeot with Veles registration plates driven by T.G. and determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Testing showed 1.54‰ (promille) alcohol in his blood. Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.
On 11 June 2025 at 5:50 a.m. in Skopje, in the Centar municipality, police officers arrested a 14-year-old juvenile following a report that he had physically assaulted C.L. (27) from Germany and stolen her mobile phone.
An appropriate report will be submitted after the case is fully documented.
On 11 June 2026 at 6:30 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that public order had been disturbed in the village of Batinci, Skopje area, by a physical altercation between B.D. (38) and V.D. (30) on one side and S.M. (27), D.M. (33), D.M. (38), and S.M. (44) on the other, all from Skopje.
An appropriate report will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 11 June 2026 at 8:05 p.m., M.K. (24) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at approximately 11:50 a.m., in the Centar area, following a prior traffic-related misunderstanding, he had been physically assaulted by another person.
Measures are being taken to clarify and resolve the case.
