On 09 January 2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs (SVR Skopje) deprived A.M. (29) from Skopje and A.P. (23) from the village of Volkovo, Skopje region, of their liberty after marijuana was found and seized from them. Following the complete documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 09 January 2026 at 21:20, SVR Skopje received a report that on “4th Street” in the village of Vizbegovo, Skopje region, a passenger vehicle “Opel” with Skopje license plates, driven by K.R. (20) from Vizbegovo, struck a pedestrian, C.C. (54) from Veles. The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Center in Skopje. An on-site investigation was conducted by an SVR Skopje investigation team.

On 09 January 2026 at around 06:45, SVR Skopje was notified by the “St. Naum Ohridski” City General Hospital in Skopje that a 46-year-old woman, N.S. from Skopje, had been admitted with serious bodily injuries. According to the report, N.S. sustained the injuries while traveling on a bus with Skopje license plates on “Mito Hadživasilev Jasmin” Street in Skopje, when she fell and was injured due to sudden braking. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 09 January 2026 at 18:36, the Kriva Palanka Police Department (OVR Kriva Palanka) received a report of a fire in a house in the village of Nerav, Kriva Palanka region, owned by A.P. (52). As a result of the fire, D.P. (34), A.P. (52), and S.P. (89) sustained injuries and were transported to the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Center in Skopje for medical assistance. A team from the Kriva Palanka Territorial Firefighting Unit extinguished the fire. An on-site investigation will be carried out during the day.

On 09 January 2026 at around 08:30, SVR Skopje received a report that in the village of Banjani, Skopje region, M.V. (79) from Banjani was physically assaulted by G.G., the driver of bus No. 61, on which M.V. had previously been traveling. After disembarking from the bus, an argument ensued, after which M.V. was assaulted by G.G. and sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the “St. Naum Ohridski” City General Hospital in Skopje. Following full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 09 January 2026, police officers from SVR Skopje deprived Gj.K. (41) from Veles of his liberty, acting on a prior report from his 39-year-old extramarital partner that earlier that day at around 08:00, in the family home in Skopje, he physically assaulted her using a hard object and damaged her mobile phone. During a search of the home, marijuana was found and seized. Following complete documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 10 January 2026 at 01:40 at the Blato Border Crossing, police officers from the Police Station for Border Crossing and Border Surveillance Blato deprived J.V. (44) from the Republic of Albania of his liberty upon entry into the country, as he was wanted by Interpol Luxembourg. The person was handed over to the Debar Police Station for further procedure.

On 09 January 2026 at 02:00, B.Dž. (19) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that in front of his home in the Bit Pazar area of Skopje, three persons, one of whom was armed, threatened him. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 09 January 2026 at 17:07, SVR Skopje received a report that A.M. (48) from Skopje had been found deceased in an apartment on “Rajko Žinzifov” Street in Skopje. A doctor confirmed death with no visible signs of violence, and upon the order of a public prosecutor, the body was sent for autopsy.

On 09 January 2026 at 23:30 in the village of Studeničani, Skopje region, police officers from SVR Skopje detained S.I. (19) and Z.I. (20), both from the village of Dračeviца, Skopje region, E.R. (33) from Studeničani, and R.R. (26) from Skopje, for disturbing public order and peace through a mutual physical altercation. Following full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 09 January 2026 at 20:35, F.E. (50) from Šuto Orizari, Skopje region, reported to SVR Skopje that on 05 January 2026 at around 13:00, at a bus stop in the Šuto Orizari area, two persons took her minor son’s mobile phone. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 09 January 2026 at 16:20, police officers from SVR Štip deprived I.P. (47) from a village in the Štip region of his liberty, acting on a prior report from his 74-year-old father that he had physically assaulted him in the family home. Following full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 09 January 2026 at 17:15, a 26-year-old man from Štip reported to SVR Štip that, following a prior argument, he was physically assaulted in his home by his girlfriend M.J. (20) from the Štip region. Following full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 09 January 2026 at 15:00, a 67-year-old woman from Vinica reported to the Vinica Police Department (OVR Vinica) that she had been defrauded of 12,400 euros. According to the report, a person contacted her by phone, introduced himself as a doctor, and stated that her daughter-in-law had suffered a serious injury at work and that money was needed for surgery. As reported, she withdrew the money from a bank and left it at the location indicated by the caller, but later realized that she had been defrauded. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 09 January 2026 at 15:00, at the Macedonian Kamenica Police Unit, an official interview was conducted with M.S. (43) from the village of Kosevica, Macedonian Kamenica, acting on a prior report from F.V. (23) from Macedonian Kamenica that M.S. had behaved aggressively and threatened him. Following full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against M.S.

On 10 January 2026 at 00:30, in a village in the Delčevo region, police officers from OVR Delčevo deprived V.N. (53) from the Delčevo region of his liberty, acting on a prior report from his 53-year-old wife that in the family home he physically assaulted her and threatened her. Following full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 10 January 2026 at 00:50 in Delčevo, police officers deprived A.I. (48) from Delčevo of his liberty, acting on a prior report from his wife that in the family home in Delčevo he physically assaulted her and damaged her mobile phone. Following full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 09 January 2026 at 18:15 at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entry into the country, police officers deprived P.S. (24) from Greece of his liberty. During a border control and inspection of a passenger vehicle “Peugeot” with Greek license plates, which he was driving, pyrotechnic devices, liquid substances, and other items were found and seized. He was detained at the Kumanovo Police Station, and following full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
