On September 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., the Ohrid Department of Internal Affairs (SVR Ohrid) received a report that on a local road in the village of Mesheishta, Debrca Municipality, a passenger vehicle, a “Link & Co” with Skopje registration plates, driven by I.B. (45) from the Republic of Croatia, had left the road. In the accident, the driver sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the “St. Erasmus” Special Hospital in Ohrid. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Ohrid investigative team.
The Struga Department of Internal Affairs (OVR Struga) filed a criminal complaint against K.R. (32) from Struga on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “false reporting of a crime,” under Article 366 of the Criminal Code. On August 17, 2026, at the Struga Department of Internal Affairs, he reported that he had allegedly been kidnapped in Struga by several people who had threatened him with a firearm. Following measures taken, police officers established that he had falsely reported the crime. He was then summoned for an official interview, during which he admitted that he had falsely reported the crime.
On September 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., in a village in the Strumica area, police officers from SVR Strumica detained a 37-year-old female resident of the village. According to the report, at around 12:00 p.m. she physically assaulted her 40-year-old husband in the family home. The Vinica Department of Internal Affairs (OVR Vinica) filed a criminal complaint against E.B. (33) from Vinica on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “endangering safety.” The suspect behaved aggressively and made threats toward his wife.
The Gostivar External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against R.J. (57) from the Gostivar area on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “stalking.” The suspect repeatedly followed and harassed a 49-year-old woman from Gostivar and also made threats against her.
The Veles Department of Internal Affairs (SVR Veles) filed a criminal complaint against I.R. (35) from the village of Krivolak, Negotino area, on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “unauthorized manufacture, possession, brokering and trafficking of weapons or explosive materials.” On December 23, 2025, in the village of Krivolak, police officers searched the suspect’s home and other premises, during which pyrotechnic devices were found and confiscated.
On September 8, 2026, at 8:25 p.m., on Boro Vulić Street in Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo detained R.A. (35) from Tetovo because, during a search, a white powdery substance was found and confiscated from him. He was held at a police station and, following documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
On September 8, 2026, at 10:30 p.m. in Bitola, police officers from SVR Bitola detained G.I. (28) from Bitola. According to the report, G.I. attacked her father with a sharp object in the family home and inflicted a cut on him. On September 8, 2026, at 10:17 a.m., the Berovo Department of Internal Affairs (OVR Berovo) received a report of a fire at a location known as “Gramadna” on Mount Ograzhden, in the territory of the village of Dvorishte, Berovo area. According to the report, Z.K. (53) from the village of Dvorishte, Berovo area, had burned crop residue on his property, but the fire spread to low-growing vegetation over a larger area. There were no injuries, and the fire was extinguished by a team from the Berovo Territorial Firefighting Unit.
