The Minister of Internal Affairs, Panche Toshkovski, today attended and addressed the promotion of the Catalog for Continuous Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Police Academy in Idrizovo, created in collaboration with the Police Academy and the OSCE Mission in Skopje.
In his address, Minister Toshkovski emphasized that the Catalog represents a significant step in enhancing the professional development, expertise, and capacities of the employees within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, highlighting that modern security challenges require a highly trained, professional, and efficient police force.
"Continuous training and improvement of police officers is one of our top priorities. The Catalog is not just an overview of training programs, but also a strategic tool for professional development, which will contribute to strengthening institutional capacities, improving the quality of police work, and further enhancing citizens' trust in the police," stated Minister Toshkovski.
He pointed out that the Catalog contains a systematic overview of training programs developed according to the needs of the police service, modern security standards, and best international practices. The training is focused on developing professional, operational, and leadership competencies, with a special emphasis on the practical application of knowledge, respect for human rights, professional integrity, and ethical standards.
Minister Toshkovski expressed gratitude to the Police Academy and the OSCE Mission in Skopje for their support and contribution to the preparation of the Catalog, noting that partnership cooperation is an important prerequisite for building a modern and sustainable police training system.
